Do not load filters values from database
On large collections, loading filters potential values is very resources consuming. It would be great to not load all the data when displaying the filters.

Filter on multiple fields with embedding SDK.
I think this is important for charts to tell an adequate story. With the dashboard 2 or more filters can be applied but when the chart is embedded only one filter can be applied. When using an authenticated login I need the possibility to restrict users on more than one condition without having multiple dashboards. For viewers on web app its also necessary to comb through the data easier.

Community-generated visualization types
My suggestion is to allow for community-created visualization plugins, also called custom visualizations.
This type of functionality is offered on popular visualization tools like Grafana, MS Power BI and Google Data Studio.

Cookies should be set with the 'SameSite' attribute
Hi guys, Chrome 79 reports an issue with cookies set by the embedded charts. It seems like they are missing the 'SameSite' attribute. If you could bring the cookies up to speed to comply with this apparent new standard, it'd be great.

Map Chart ID's to Dashboard
After embedding a chart an id is generated like this
id=083882db-f78f-6477-b8fa-dc8ggfd787be
It would be good if you map these id's with dashboards like first few chars would be same for the dashboard and embedded chart .So that While embedding them into our dashboard we can filter out who can see our charts based on ID we provide.

Capability to add additional labels to Charts
Dear Charts Team,
I need to add additional labels to a Geospatial Scatter Chart such that I can display additional information about each datapoint.
The need arises, as we want to create a report, that allows the user to get an overview of the single data points as well as relevant metadata without the need to lookup this information in an additional table / connect to the Cluster and investigate the rest of the necessary information.

Add US Counties/Parishes/Boroughs to Choropleth Shape Schemes
We could use a little more granularity on the Choropleth Geospatial Chart. We'd like to be able to look at a single state, and denote values of each of the counties, parishes, or boroughs of that state.
This feature is currently available for the UK, but not for the US.

Grouped stacked bar chart
A bar chart that can be both clustered and stacked simultaneously expands substantially the analytical possibilities (as it allows the visualisation of additional fields/variables). It seems to me that such a chart cannot be generated in the current version.
Congrats to the MongoDB team for developing Charts. It is an extremely useful resource.

Option to identify "now" in a date chart
In a scatter plot, when one of the axes is a date, add a formatting option (on/OFF) to add an indicator of the current instant (now) on the graph or axis, if it's on the range plotted.

Allow unifying billing chart for more than one organization
Atlas provides a billing dashboard for one organization, or for linked organization. In my company we have two unlinked organization as we differentiate support levels so they cannot be linked.
We'd love to see an option to use multiple such organization in one billing board, for example by allowing multiple billing APIs to be used or any other background ingestion option.

Add more options to sort the data in the charts
Right now you can currently only sort stacked charts when there is a string value on the x axis. We would like the ability to be able to sort the data by series or by data value (high to low). Additionally, it would be great if the sort function in charts was more in depth so that you could sort all chart types (table, stacked, etc). It would also be nice if you could add two sorts to a table (similar to excel or other data viz tools).

Most dashboards from various services let you switch to Dark Mode, which is easier on the eyes and helps save a lot of energy.

Add support for logs on serverless instances
Right now, creating serverless instances on Atlas implies in not being able to download the logs as per https://www.mongodb.com/docs/atlas/reference/serverless-instance-limitations/#serverless-instance-limitations

Add refresh settings to .charts export
When exporting a Chart (.charts) the refresh settings are not included and thus lost when imported elsewhere.

option for consistent whole number display regardless data in bar chart
Currently in Bar charts if small values result in decimal ticks on the X axis, and larger values adjust the chart accordingly to show whole numbers, it will be not idle when we need to show no. of persons in x axis, which shows decimal values, option for consistent whole number display regardless data will be good
