When a user logins into the Atlas Portal this is logged to the Activity Feed.
This feature would allow to better user auditing and identify potential security breaches.

Email subject more specific for Alerts
The email Alerts that MongoDB provide are very useful, especially the Oplog and CPU Usage. However, the subject of the emails are not clear and does not specify the Alert type. It is just a generic "Alert". It would be great if MongoDB can add "Alert Oplog" or "Alert CPU Usage" to the email subjects to make them much more clear and helpful. Thanks!

disk iops
The Disk IOPS graph shows 2 colored lines. (read/write). It would be great to add a third line which is the SUM of the 2 lines. Or... a toggle switch so we can see the sum line instead of the 2 components. Thanks!

Pausing MongoDB Atlas Cluster with option of start/end time
There is a parameter available for cluster resource to pause the cluster. With this parameter, we have to flip the status from pause to unpause whenever needed.
I am looking for separate resource (like maintenance window) where one can configure to pause the cluster for specific window (start/end time)
Example: I want to pause all non-prod clusters by Friday evening 5 PM EST and resume the cluster 7 AM EST. With trigger it is possible, but we do have hundreds of deployments. It would be great if we have resource where customer can specify their own timing to pause and…

Ability to choose a Primary shard for newly created database
In a multi tenant architecture, the isolation of a tenant on a specific shard (when database sharding is involved) is expected. At this time, the ability to choose a Primary shard for newly created database would come in handy

Enable Private Link for Azure Data Factory
Private Link for Azure Data Factory is not currently supported. This appears to be the most secure way for ADF to connect to Atlas / MongoDB, and support for this feature would be ideal for our use-case.

Support node type or node tags as condition in MongoDB Atlas Alert
Currently, the MongoDB Atlas does not support the node types [1] or node tags [2] as the condition in Atlas alerts. That would be super inconvenient for the following scenarios.
Scenario 1: If the user wants to create an alert to monitor the specific node type, such as READ_ONLY node or ANALYTICS nodes, there is no convenient way to achieve it. The current approach must set up the alert by using the hardcode hostname.
Scenario 2: If the user has some electable nodes and a analytics node in a cluster, and wants to focus on monitoring the electable nodes (workload),…

mongomirror with db rename
We have a need to rename our databases as we sync them over to Atlas. However, mongomirror doesn't support that. So that leaves us with mongodump and mongorestore but our databases are large enough that we can't take the outage window necessary to go down that path. When will mongomirror support renaming databases during the import process?

Alerts Messaging Customization
At the moment, it appears one cannot customize the messaging or subject line of the alerts. This makes it difficult to categorize the alerts. For instance, we would like to categorize alerts into different severity levels, such that severity level will help determine the level of attention that is paid to the alerts when they trigger. If it is possible to prefix or append some customization code and message to either the subject line and/or actual message, then a monitoring team can use the custom code/message to determine the severity or category of the alert when it triggers.

[Atlas] Enforce password policy for DB access
Currently is not possible to enforce any kind of password policy via Atlas UI.
Would be nice to let user define an expiration time and password policy that user should meet.13 votes -
Monitoring Integration with Splunk
Unlike a connector (https://feedback.mongodb.com/forums/924145-atlas/suggestions/40688308-splunk-connector-for-atlas) it would be useful if Alerts could be sent to Splunk.

Show Index Error on UI
When creating an index on your UI, if the index creation gives an error, the error doesn't show on the UI, for example if you have a field of type string, and have a value longer than 1024 bytes, and try to create a normal index on this field, the UI will tell you the index it's been creating successfully, but when you go to your collection and see your indexes, this will not appear, but when you create it on the MongoDB console, it gives the following error. It would be nice to have this error shown on the…

MMS Alert for Balancer Down status
please provide an option in Ops Manager to monitor the balancer status and add to alerts?
So, we will know if balancer is not running.Note:
Normally the balancer would be disabled during backups and during a scheduled Balancing Window downtime.
I believe that the Balancer has a duty cycle of either 10 secs when nothing recently to balance, or 1 sec when there's a bunch of balancing to do.
Any alert would need to account for these:
the changelog shows chunk moves commanded
the actionlog shows balancer state change history
the settings collection has the balancer state13 votes -

Set MongoDB Production Support Employee Access to Atlas Backend Infrastructure at Project Level
The Restrict MongoDB Production Support Employee Access to Atlas Backend Infrastructure is currently set on the organizational level. This should also be possible at the project level. Secondly, add the possibility to grant access indefinitely until revoked.

max database users not visible
We need more than 100 database users, and have had the limit raised for existing projects, but new projects require us to have the limit increased. There is no way for us to verify which projects have the default 100 database users and which ones have had the limit raised. It would also be nice to track the percentage or number of database users available as a metric.
