Increase the notice period for changes
You need to increase the notice period that you provide to your customers for changes that could affect their ability to connect to their database.
A good example of this was the upcoming change announced yesterday "Prepare for MongoDB Atlas TLS certificate root change starting May 1, 2021". You provided 3 days notice which is woefully inadequate.
I work with a lot of large financial institutions and have contractual obligations to provide them with 20 business days advance notice for any planned maintenance. This is simply not possible with the notice periods that you provide.

Seeing ports that Clusters listen to
In your documentation and even through the atlas web api, there is no straightforward method to see what ports my clusters communicate on. This is highly frustrating as I am using the Mongodb Atlas Private endpoint and need to Allow Inbound/Outbound communications on certain ports for the endpoint to work.

SAML login on feedback.mongodb.com does not work with Google Auth
It shows "SAML Error" and redirects the login page to cloud manager. As a result the login success is never passed to feedback.mongodb.com, it's necessary to login again (on the second attempt, it works)

Warning if attempting to change cluster configuration while an index operation is in progress
When changing the cluster configuration to scale it up or down, there is no warning if there's a index build currently running on the primary/secondary. I created an index, saw it finish on the primary and then scaled the cluster, without thinking about that the index is only now built on the secondary, too.
During the downscaling the index build got aborted and attempted to build in foreground then. However this for some reason did not work and I had to contact support to help me with getting the secondary up again.
My proposal would be to either:

Improving Directions to Support on Atlas
Submitting this on behalf of customer (libra@wavecreststudios.com):
If I may provide some feedback, the Atlas site is not clear for how to get
support. Clicking Support in the upper right menu brings you to the support
portal, which you can't use if you don't have a plan. It's only when
you're viewing all your projects (and not viewing a specific project) that
there's a support link on the left side to upgrade your plan. Also, and this was very frustrating, it's not clear that "chat support" is
for general questions and not for urgent issues (usually chat means…1 vote -

Support of new EBS Volume type (gp3)
When creating cluster , We have not option to select GP3/GP2. while newly introduce gp3 EBS volume have less price and high IOPS.
So why we need to settle for less.

Page title says "Create Cluster" when editing cluster config
Small thing I just noticed (confused me for a second because I had a second tab open to actually create a new cluster). My idea is to have the the title say "Edit Cluster" instead.

NodeJS Trigger Dependencies
I'd like to have NodeJS dependencies (e.g. the AWS NodeJS SDK) available in my Atlas triggers.

Allow transactionLifetimeLimitSeconds to be modified from Atlas
We need to be increasing the default value of transactionLifetimeLimitSeconds to larger numbers (usually 300 instead of default 60). Considering number of clusters we running / we are going to be spinning up in the future its cumbersome to keep requesting this change from support. Instead please allow us to set or modify this from the Atlas GUI.

Include security group and tag for privateLink setup
On the Private Endpoint (and VPC Peering) setup screen in Atlas, present options to:
- include or modify "security group"
- attach a "tag = name"
That way when user has the AWS CLI command generated, it includes security & tag

if we had option for diabling javascript execution on database we would have to no worry about it
javascript excuiton can be used for harm and mass deletion data. İf we had no javascript execution we would be safer.

ignore notimeout cursor (after initial warning?) to avoid breaking compatibility with apps
In Q4 2020, the notimeout cursor was no longer allowed on free or shared instances.
As several DB management tools hardcoded this option for optimum performance it breaks compatibility with them. We use a combination of free/shared-tier instances for dev in combination with dedicated instances for production; this limit effectively means we either have to WAY overprovision our dev resources, or we can't use our tooling anymore on it.
Please provide a way to simply ignore the notimeout option, instead of breaking its connection.
Thanks!

MongoDB Orphaned Docs Utility
When we upgrade MongoDB there is the possibility that orphaned collections that need to be deleted can prevent the upgrade from completing.
It would make sense for Atlas to include a proactive utility that searched a customers sharded cluster for orphaned docs and gave them the option to clean up the orphaned docs ahead of a major version upgrade.

IO throttling
Atlas should be able to throttle IO in a way that does not allow excessive IO to degrade a node or take a node offline. Current functionality has no defense against a high IO data job other than to allow a node to fail.
