Improve 2FA and auth management
Right now, there is no way to require Google auth or to require 2FA. The only way to enforce 2FA for a team is to check the team mangagement page. However, since some users may have only used Google auth to login, they will show up in this view as not having 2FA, creating auditing headaches. Please
- indicate if a user does not have 2fa because they do not have a password vs just not having 2fa
- ideally, add the ability to require 2fa and/or Google auth for all team members10 votes -
Ability to Drop Indexes via API
Allow users to not only add indexes via the API, but also allow them to drop indexes the same way. Also incorporate index creation/deletion into Terraform.

SimplifiedJson format
Kafka source connector has an output format option of SimplifiedJson which is easier to parse by the downstream applications. Mongo utilities or any of the Atlas features do not support this as an output format as of now.
Mongo does have canonical format output for mongo export which can be matched with kafka extended json format but it requires additional translation by the 3rd party applications.
Is there a feature in place already to have atlas $out or mongo export or dump utilities to output data in Simplified json format? If not can this be looked into?

Backup for project user
Hello,
it would be good if we could better granulate which users have access to cloud backups.
Currently only a project user with Project Owner rights can perform backups, restores etc. It would be really cool if some users, such as developers, could be given the right to work with the backup, and at the same time not have to have the Project Owner right, as it is not wanted to be able to add users, create and delete clusters etc...

Add Datadog integration to Atlas Serverless
Datadog ( and other monitoring tools ) integrate great with Atlas, it would be awesome to copy this integration to Atlas Serverless. Without this we can't monitor Atlas Serverless with our standard toolset. In conclusion, please bring 3rd party monitoring integration to Atlas Serverless !

Alert - Network & Security
Ability to setup alerts on the project to notify if any user added network ranges / IP's to access the database cluster.
You can see the activity in the feed but there is no options available to set alert for such?

SSO + SCIM for Atlas Auth
Support SCIM for SSO as this can allow for more fine grained control for access groups in Atlas. This can help IT groups hit their goal of a consistent RBAC set up and improve the user experience for MongoDB Atlas users (less back and forth with IT).

change streams serverless
Hi. I need the "change streams" feature implemented for serverless deployments.
At this time it's unclear when will it be implemented, hence it's difficult to plan ahead.
Why is that important?
My nodejs app relies on change streams. Without it - the app simply cannot start because basic functionality is missing. Our devteam maintains a few complete vertical qa/testing stacks. Developers/QA/Product people load their change into these stacks and share with others. They are then used for product UI validation, sanity/automated testing etc.
Because the app depends on change streams, those stacks are restricted to use only production Atlas clusters.

Allow registering multiple security keys in MFA
Currently, only a single security key can be registered as an MFA device. As a backup to this key, only other mechanisms such as authenticator apps can be used. It would be nice if multiple keys could be registered to avoid having to use a different method as the backup.

Add alert setting for cluster being auto-scaled up or down
Hi,
I'd like to set up a slack hook to our #emergency room when the cluster is being automatically scaled up/down.
In the project settings in the Alerts / Alert Settings section there are ways how to email/slack notify on some events: maintenance events, index suggestions or even Disk I/O % utilization and may more...
Though somehow I'm unable to modify the behaviour when the cluster is auto-scaled up due to high CPU/RAM usage for 1 hour.
Would love to see this alert type in the settings among the rest of other alerts.

Manage Database Access and Network access
I would like to give colleagues the ability to manage Database Access and Network access for a project without giving the the project owner role.
A way to provide more granular access in Atlas would be nice

Allow threshold on "System Memory: Available" alert condition to be a percentage
In Atlas, it would be ideal if you could specify a percentage of total memory as the threshold for the "System Memory: Available Is..." rather than a literal number value. If it was possible to set this as a percentage, then the alert could be applied to all hosts in a project, rather than having to set hostname conditions and create a separate alert for each cluster.

allow API to retrieve closed project
Even if a project has been closed, it would be good to see what the name was. After all, the project ID shows up in the bill, why not the project name?

KMIP-based Encryption at Rest
Problem Statement,
What is the problem?
As of now (2021-03-09) Atlas does not support KMIP-based Encryption at Rest. Currently supported (as of 2021-03-09) encryption key sources are,
* AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS)
* Azure Key Vault
* Google Cloud Key Management Service (Google Cloud KMS).Why is this a problem? Customers who use KMIP to source encryption keys are not able to use Encryption at Rest (https://docs.atlas.mongodb.com/security-kms-encryption/) feature of Atlas.
**Proposal,**
* Add KMIP support for Encryption at Rest feature of Atlas.9 votes -
Configurable number of insertion workers per collection for mongomirror
Mongorestore allows for the number of concurrent insertion workers per collection to be increased using the --numInsertionWorkersPerCollection option.
However, this is not available for mongomirror -- while you can increase the number of collections copied in parallel (--numParallelCollections), there's no parameter surfaced to allow more inserts to be occurring at the same time over multiple threads within each collection.
|t would be helpful to have a parameter like this to use to increase parallelization in order to increase the speed of migrations of large collections.

Data Transfer Limit
since as documented there are limitation on network traffic in M0/M2/M5 instances, it is mandatory to have a metrics/alerts (also for free ones) to monitor this value in a 7d sliding window

Recently resumed clusters must remain running for 60 minutes
At the moment when you try to pause a recently resumed cluster you get the following message;"Recently resumed clusters must remain running for 60 minutes to process all queued maintenance".
Obviously this requires me to check back in Atlas UI in an hour or so just to pause the cluster. Instead would be good for UI to schedule a Pause to be executed as soon as it's possible.
