Map IDP groups to Atlas teams
At the moment Atlas does not support mapping IDP groups to existing Atlas teams. We would like that the integration would support that. For example:
okta group "devops" --- mapped to ---> Atlas team "devops"
Each time the customer adds a user to this idp group, the user will be given the proper permissions in Atlas.

U domain Verification
If you are able to verify the parent domain for your company, then you shouldn't need to have to verify the sub-domains associated with that domain. Company's do not generally advertise their internal u-domains on the internet therefore any verification on that sub-domain will naturally fail. This is hindering us from integrating our Okta credentials with our login information.

Metric Charts Aggregated by Primary Node at the Time
Providing an aggregated metrics based on the primary server. Right now in order to view history for the primary we have to compare the different charts based on failover, makes it cumbersome to view the active primary trends

Serverless RPU estimator
RPU calculations can be difficult to understand and generally involves how much "processing" is being done by MongoDB to complete a particular read operation. There are instances where RPU's can skyrocket such as when COLLSCANs are performed due to lack of indexes. This can result in large spikes in the bill for serverless instances. It would be great to have some RPU estimator to calculate the approximate RPU's a particular operation would generate.

Disable (or warn about) destructive features
We already have Termination Protection enabled in our production cluster. That's great, but only applies to the whole cluster.
It would be great if there was a way to enable additional finer-grained safety features in MongoDB that would apply to large-scale destructive actions taken in either Atlas or mongosh. These could be presented as additional warnings or require additional confirmation even for users with administrator rights to re-consider their life choices. I.e. "are you really REALLY sure you want to drop that collection?". These could apply to the entire project, rather than individual databases or collections.
For example, these features…

Allow multiple VPC CIDR ranges in Peering connection
Allow multiple VPC CIDR for a single Peering connection from Atlas to AWS.
Our AWS account has two CIDR ranges for a single VPC. Atlas peering connection only allows connection to a single CIDR range.
Today, I need to create a separate private link connection to be able to connect to the second CIDR range.23 votes -
Allow backup of Archived Data and Region Level Redundancy
1) For protection from Security threats like ransomware attacks where the complete data on disk can be corrupted we need a backup solution for the Archived Database. There should be cyclic backups from where the complete data can be retrieved.
2) For HADR compliance and to support almost 100% uptime, we need the Archived Data to have Region Level Redundancy not just AZ level redundancy.

Backup for project user
Hello,
it would be good if we could better granulate which users have access to cloud backups.
Currently only a project user with Project Owner rights can perform backups, restores etc. It would be really cool if some users, such as developers, could be given the right to work with the backup, and at the same time not have to have the Project Owner right, as it is not wanted to be able to add users, create and delete clusters etc...

Feature: Atlas UI -- Star/Favorite/Bookmark of Project
It would be nice to be able to star/bookmark projects, so I don't have to type half the project name in every time I switch between environments--eg. like in Datadog, star a dash board and it shows up at the top of the list/without search

Memory managed on the mongodb atlas nodes
we recently had a major outage due to OOM on the mongodb shard nodes . we would suggest help preventing this by providing below features so this can be managed properly going forward
- Set the memory allocated to the WireTiger Cache
- Configure more memory for a tier. The current tier is M50 (8 vCPUs, 32GB memory). We would like to be able to allocate more memory for M50 to handle more connections and memory use for workloads. Scaling up to M60 will double the vCPUs to 16 which we do not want. Perhaps offer tier with high memory usage for…

Support exporting Custom routes
Supporting export of custom routes with peering connection (with GCP in our case). At this point it's not possible to access atlas from our on-prem network with -priv FQDN, we would have to use the public ones by managing source ip in GCP firewall (painful on a remote workers world) or adding a Google Cloud VPN product to create some kind of vpn connection. Just permitting export of private subnets would be great !
We have peering with other product and they support it !2 votes -
og the size of oplog-mongomirror.bson.sz at time of deletion in mongomirror logs
currently when we run the mongomirror with --oplog, it does the status when it is deleted.
It will be good , to add the size information ofoplog-mongomirror.bson.sz
, that will help us to decide the appropriate disk .1 vote -
Introduce serverless clusters for GCP Frankfurt region
Would be great to have the serverless clusters in FRA GCP as well. Would be good for performance.

Allow private dns names for Atlas private endpoints
When a customer requires the use of private DNS names for their Atlas private link connection strings, can we allow them to switch on this capability? Basically use a private dns zone instead of a public one and share it as part of the VPC endpoint setup? AWS seems to offer this capability. See this link here https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2020/01/aws-privatelink-supports-private-dns-names-internal-3rd-party-services/

Approval workflow for database deletion
The current Termination Protection only prevents accidental deletion of a cluster. It helps to have a similar protection to databases inside the cluster.
Even better if there is an approval workflow, in which several people must accept before a database/cluster is deleted.

Tags for Functions, Values
A feature to quickly see which functions I already completed, tested, updated, whatever. Like a simple tagging system so that we could add tags to a function just for visibility to quickly see which functions need which work!
(In addition to this idea: https://feedback.mongodb.com/forums/945334-atlas-app-services/suggestions/40550581-folders-for-functions-values )

AWS ME Central Region Support
I have an ECS cluster in AWS me-central-1 region and I am not able to establish a peering connection with my AWS VPC as me-central-1 region is missing in the options. When will this option be available?
