Allow provider-level configuration for project in Atlas terraform provider
For the provider-level configuration, would be nice to be able to set the project at provider level vs. having to provide it at resource level.
Currently, it doesn't seem that the provider accepts a project argument.

OCSP stapling support for Atlas Clusters
What is the problem that needs to be solved? As a user (MongoDB Driver) you'd like to check revocation status of X.509 certificate via TLS Certificate Status Request extension (also known as OCSP stapling) instead of doing outgoing HTTP connection to OCSP endpoint from a user (MongoDB Driver) side.
Why is it a problem? (the pain) MongoDB Server v. 4.4.X introduces OCSP stapling functionality, however OCSP stapling is not enabled on Atlas Clusters with MongoDB Server v. 4.4.X.

rolling maintenance for replicasets
Similar to the process outlined in this doc for index builds
https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/build-indexes-on-replica-sets/
It would be beneficial if the same process can be allowed in Atlas for running database maintenance processes such as dropping large databases that are no longer needed or to purge out old data using this method without impacting the primary.
Bulk Data can be purge out easier using the rolling maintenance method for example when implementing TTL index. If prior to implementing TTL index there is a lot of data to purge out that meets the TTL index criteria, this can be done prior to creating the…

Functionality to have Atlas Data Explorer display the size of the largest document in the collection
Currently, the Atlas Data Explorer UI displays only the collection size and total documents in the collection, but not the size of the largest document in the collection. It would be a nice feature to have Atlas Data Explorer display the size of the largest document in the collection.

make empty teams possible
It is currently not possible to create empty teams of remove all users from teams.
We would like to arrange our access management through teams. For our production environment we want a 'read only' and an 'admin' team. The admin team should be empty at all times, except in the case of incidents where we want to add specific users to the admin team to be able to solve the incident.7 votes -
Allow designating some team members to administer team membership
Currently adding and removing members from team requires Organization Owner privileges. We would like to distribute management of team membership to users without having to grant them root privileges on Atlas account.
The feature would allow us to designate some team members as admins for the team, and they could then add/remove team members. This is in similar in concept to how Github implements team maintainers for a GitHub Team.

Profiles for Autoscale heuristics
Case #00731969
Is it possible to tweak the scale up settings so that my clusters scale up faster than they do today?
I think it is best to analyze my clusters and figure out how long they are staying above 70% and then average it out, and if equal to or greater than that average, I would like my clusters to scale up.
Once scaled up, I want it to remain scaled up for the next ~2 hours at least and only scale down if usage gets really small enough for it to justify scale down.
Right now, the auto…

Allow option to configure default project_owner when creating projects through API key
We're currently using the Atlas Service Broker (https://github.com/mongodb/atlas-osb) which is built using the native Atlas REST APIs.
In the project creation, it creates the project using the POST /api/atlas/v1.0/groups endpoint via an API key. As a result, we have an unexpected user added as the project_owner of the project.
THis is due to:
IMPORTANTTo create a project using API Key credentials, you must specify an orgId. When you do, Atlas automatically selects the Owner of the specified organization with the earliest account creation date and time as the Project Owner for the newly created project.
The API…

Webhook
Hi MongoDB Atlas Team,
Some of enterprise customers are left out with improper monitoring via Webhook to ServiceNow (an ITSM tool). Can you please improve on it so right set of fields can be included like "Priority", "Service", "Assignment Group" etc. other details which can be filled up via dropdown or entered manually so alerts to generate incidents via ServiceNow.
Regards,
Varun

Rename "collections" to "databases and collections"
Please rename collections tab to DBs and collections. I was so confused as a newbie if my cluster name was my db name since there was no hint of where databases are in User Interface (UI). Then when I opened collections tab, I saw databases there!

Alert for backup policy changes
It would be great to have an alert that notifies you when someone edits the backup policies.
This would be good to validate and everyone to be aware of, because a bad change can cause major problems if it is necessary to restore a backup.

Support for programming languages other than Javascript in Atlas Realm
By supporting programming languages other than Javascript in Atlas Realm, we would be able to cater to a wider group of developers. There is some work in this area that we can leverage - Google's J2CL transpiler for Java, Ruby's Opal transpiler...

Metrics charts x-axis showing more than 24 hours of data should be labeled according to the scale
Metrics charts x-axis showing more than 24 hours of data should be labeled according to the scale
Currently, when a mouse is not hovering over a Metrics plot, the plot will show particular hours as labels for the x-axis. For example, if an 8 hour range of time is displayed, the time every two hours will be labeled.
However, if more than 1 day is displayed, the x-axis labels are less useful. The particular time once/day is displayed, but the day is not included. For example, when I display a week of data, 07:00 is highlighted on each particular day,…

Increase # of Collections in Performance Advisor
Currently the recommendations are for the 20 most active collections. It would be helpful if there was an option to run this for all collections or to set a larger number of collections.

Fix Database Access Modal Bugs
When adding user in Database Access if you try to highlight text in lets say the username area and release the click of the selection outside of the modal, it will close it and reset the data. This is extremely annoying. And makes it hard while doing simple copy pasting since you need to start over after it closes
Also when you
Grant specific privileges
for a user, it wipes the username and password you already setup. These simple fixes would really improve the user management worflow.
