It will be nice to have the ability to export a list of alerts from one project and import it in another project

Create distinct indexes for Analytics nodes
To effectively use Workload Isolation, it is desirable to have different indexes on the operational cluster nodes than the indexes used to support analytics and reporting query patterns. It would be powerful for Atlas to enable different indexes on Analytics nodes.

Support Linode as a cloud service
Linode is a widely used cloud provider between developers that do not like the outrageous interface & costs of the main providers (Google, Atlas, AWS). Linode has free in-network bandwidth as well, making for private connections to be much cheaper.

Purge of unused accounts after X days/months
After X number of days/months (say 12 months), accounts that haven't been accessed or have never been accessed go into a 3 month freeze period, before they are automatically disabled and deleted. A report of such accounts should be auto generated and archived. The freeze period intention sends a warning to the account holder as well as an alert to administrators of the atlas org.

Improve Cluster Name Limits
Cluster names currently impose the following limits:
Cluster names shorter than 23 characters can't end with hyphen or dash (-)
Cluster names 23 characters or longer can't use a hyphen or dash (-) as its 23rd character.
Instead, we should either trim or replace the hyphen at the end of a 23 character name.

create API keys that support linked orgs
It is possible to link multiple orgs to each other. It should therefore be possible to use a single API key to access all linked orgs.

Atlas should allow deployments of non-voting members on region for tiebreaking purposes
No allowing non-voting members criples the ability to combine regional failover, while keeping the application servers in just two regions, where the event of having a third region primary may imply high latencies, that impacts SLOs.
This particular severe for architectures that rely on 2 main datacenters (regions) and use a 3rd for tiebreaking purposes only.

Exclude nodes from Autoscaling
We run huge analytics, reports and queries over our analytics node. And its expected that analytics node is sometimes over immense CPU or Memory pressure.
Current behaviour: When I enable Autoscaling, all the nodes in my cluster scales up when there is heavy load.
Expected behaviour: I would like my analytics node to slow down or the query to timeout rather than scaling the entire cluster. Therefore, I should have an option to exclude the metrics of analytics node while deciding for autoscaling.

Allow the ability for a rolling cluster restart like during maintenance
Currently there is no way to test how applications behave during maintenance apart from waiting for maintenance, the ability to force a rolling cluster restart as happens during maintenance would be great. The failover is a different process and affects primary mainly.

Feature Request: DNS record per zone for global cluster
Today Atlas creates a single DNS record for the global cluster which has SRV records pointing to all servers in the cluster across all zones.
This causes issues when a service hosted in US tries to use this DNS record as it now connects to every server in the SRV list of the DNS record. We ideally would want the US service to connect to its closest mongos router (US zone) and not all the mongos routers as it is unnecessary waste of resources. Our workaround today is to manually pick the servers and build the connection string in old…

Cancel restore
There should be an option to stop once the restoration is given. Or there should be an option to revert a backup restore. This is required because we can restore an old production back up to Production only. If by mistake we do that we should be able to revert back.

Ability to provide IP addresses as a list for Network Access
When adding IP addresses on a cluster/project (Network Access), it would be great to be able to provide a comma-delimited list of IP addresses instead of having to enter them one-by-one.

Change the copy document icon
At the moment the Copy Document and Clone Document icon are conceptually identical (two sheets on top of each other with a diagonal offset to suggest duplication) so whenever I want to do one or the other I have to check which is which with the hover tooltip.
It would make sense to change the Copy Document icon to a clipboard icon or something like that.

Time based auto scaling
Our production server workload is less after 5 pm till the next day morning at 6 am CST times. We are running MongoDB in full capacity even on off-peak times. It's not possible for someone to manually downscale the cluster during off-peak and I don't think the CPU utilization based auto-scaling is working for us. I would like to choose auto-scaling between CPU based or time based as set my own time window and choose the auto scale/down-sclae.

Atlas Endpoint Service "Description / Tag" Field
Currently when creating an Atlas Endpoint Service, there is no way to add a "tag" or "description" to the endpoint.
When a large number of endpoints are created, it because very challenging to identify which endpoint aligns with which customer service or application. Giving customers the ability to add "tag" or "description" metadata, would help give them better visibility into their configured endpoints.
This is specifically requested by an Enterprise Atlas Customer - please reach out to me for details / specifics.

Allow threshold on "System Memory: Available" alert condition to be a percentage
In Atlas, it would be ideal if you could specify a percentage of total memory as the threshold for the "System Memory: Available Is..." rather than a literal number value. If it was possible to set this as a percentage, then the alert could be applied to all hosts in a project, rather than having to set hostname conditions and create a separate alert for each cluster.

Add support for profile configuration file in the Terraform provider
To be able to quickly change which account we use for the Terraform provider without having the keys in the terraform variables, supporting profile config file like what aws does for it's provider would be a great help for us.
