Allow option to configure default project_owner when creating projects through API key
We're currently using the Atlas Service Broker (https://github.com/mongodb/atlas-osb) which is built using the native Atlas REST APIs.
In the project creation, it creates the project using the POST /api/atlas/v1.0/groups endpoint via an API key. As a result, we have an unexpected user added as the project_owner of the project.
THis is due to:
IMPORTANTTo create a project using API Key credentials, you must specify an orgId. When you do, Atlas automatically selects the Owner of the specified organization with the earliest account creation date and time as the Project Owner for the newly created project.
The API…

Accept Cryptocurrency Payments
Accept cryptocurrency payments for billing purposes as Paypal or Cards are very unreliable. Recommended cryptos - Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dash.
Commerce between users and mongoDB platform will greatly improve by allowing payment mechanisms that have instant transactions at a much lower fees.

Facility to export Profiler query log
When investigating queries using Profile it would be beneficial to be able to export the log of queries for further investigation.

Option To Disable Auto Upgrades
Would be great if we could disable the auto upgrades/updates of clusters. I.e., stop auto upgrade of cluster running 4.4.6 to 4.4.7.

OCSP stapling support for Atlas Clusters
What is the problem that needs to be solved? As a user (MongoDB Driver) you'd like to check revocation status of X.509 certificate via TLS Certificate Status Request extension (also known as OCSP stapling) instead of doing outgoing HTTP connection to OCSP endpoint from a user (MongoDB Driver) side.
Why is it a problem? (the pain) MongoDB Server v. 4.4.X introduces OCSP stapling functionality, however OCSP stapling is not enabled on Atlas Clusters with MongoDB Server v. 4.4.X.

Azure storage support
Can you add support for storing the archive data in Azure Storage (instead of AWS S3 only), in a chosen by customer region (e.g. same region where the MongoDB cluster is running)?

Add "scheduled scaling/suspend" option for certain clusters
There should be an option to schedule scale up/down or suspending/resuming at specified time & day.
For example, DEV environments could be auto-suspended at 6pm and resume at 8am on weekdays, and be suspended all weekend.
Production clusters could be scaled down e.g. from M80->M60 every evening and on weekends rather than being suspended completely.
This would help save money but would need to be coordinated with the existing auto-scaling based on load.
This would need to be at the cluster level since sometimes different clusters in a single project could have different workload patterns.

Splunk connector for Atlas
We need a way to easily ingest logs into Splunk. It needs to be all logs - node and web portal activity. Ideally a Splunk connector would be provided but a stop-gap measure would be the ability to configure Atlas to write all logs to an Azure storage account.
Lack of native log ingestion ability may be an Atlas deal killer for us.

Allow multiple private endpoints (Private Link Service) per region in multi-region cluster
Some situations require multiple private endpoints (using the Private Link service) to be created per region. This is not currently supported for multi-region replica sets.
One scenario is especially for when there is a shared VPC/VNet for initial transit from on-prem to cloud plus another VPC/VNet for an application. Both of those VPC/VNets would want a Private Endpoint to connect directly to the Atlas cluster. Even if it is possible (sometimes is not), routing traffic via multiple VPC/VNets would mean 3 hops to Atlas from on-prem

make empty teams possible
It is currently not possible to create empty teams of remove all users from teams.
We would like to arrange our access management through teams. For our production environment we want a 'read only' and an 'admin' team. The admin team should be empty at all times, except in the case of incidents where we want to add specific users to the admin team to be able to solve the incident.6 votes -
Put some kind of connection string generator / link / text on the "Database Access" screen
Hello!
It took quite a while for me to find a template connection string for Atlas, as I only thought to check the "Database Access" screen. Eventually I found the "Connect" button the "Clusters" screen, but it was a pretty frustrating time looking for something as essential as a connection string.
It would be great if you added something that would have prevented that-- a little widget where you pick your cluster and it spits out a template string. Or even just some text like "Looking for your connection string? Go to clusters, it's over there!"
Thanks!

Project teams
Hello,
I think it would be a good idea to have team management at project level.
We have many projects and members in our Atlas account.
I'm a organization owner. The people in my organization use the Altas service. I create
a project for them and give my colleagues the project owner authorizations.Project owners can invite other members. This is good. But it's a little inconsistent that
they are not able to create groups or teams within their projects They have to manage the permissions for each member separately. We can't use organization teams, because they are located at…

The Atlas Disk IOPs Read/Write alerts for data/index/journal partitions should be combined & not reference partitions.
The current Atlas Disk IOPs Read/Write alerts are for data/index/journal partitions.
However, Atlas does not use seperate partitions for data/index/journal so it can be misleading to rely on the alert message. The Atlas Disk IOPs Read/Write alerts for data/index/journal partitions should be combined & not reference partitions.
Alerts like:
Host - of any type - Disk write IOPS
Host - of any type - Disk read IOPS

Atlas collection explorer UI: The list of collections should not scroll with the rest of the page
I work with hundreds of collections, and I have two issues with the UI that make a not optimal UX:
- my collection names are large, and the collection list is not resizable.
Alternatively to resizing, a popping up tooltip could show the full name of the collection being hovered with the pointer- the list of collection scrolls with the rest of the page. when I want to search a collection at the bottom of the page I have to scroll down to select it, and then scroll up again to see the results.

Alert for backup policy changes
It would be great to have an alert that notifies you when someone edits the backup policies.
This would be good to validate and everyone to be aware of, because a bad change can cause major problems if it is necessary to restore a backup.
