Provide an interface that can stream logs directly to Splunk.
I'm trying to get logs from MongoDB Atlas to Splunk, and there's currently no native interface to do it, so instead of streaming to Splunk directly, I'm having to execute https calls in intervals, unzip them and then ship them to Splunk. Many products have interfaces to stream to Splunk directly, and it would certainly be handy in this situation.

Cancel restore
There should be an option to stop once the restoration is given. Or there should be an option to revert a backup restore. This is required because we can restore an old production back up to Production only. If by mistake we do that we should be able to revert back.

Derisk cluster changes that cause restarts
Problem statement:
Some configuration changes cause rolling restarts of the cluster (e.g. audit filter, enabling x509 auth). It is not immediately obvious which changes will cause restarts and for a big cluster, this is a huge hit to performance due to cold caches.Ideas:
1. Block planner changes which would cause restarts until maintenance window (maybe with an opt-in for this, + notification that the config change is blocked)
2. Throttle replica set restarts, allowing time for the cache to be warmed on secondaries (would require mirrored reads in 4.4 to be effective)
3. Properly document what changes will cause…2 votes -
Preserve Oplog upon storage downgrade in Azure
Oplog was wiped out upon storage downgrade from 128Gb -> 16Gb, even though the database size incl. oplog was less than 2-3Gb.
Please change the downgrade procedure to NOT wipe out the oplog.
This was tested/experienced on Azure.

MongoDB Atlas Provider for AWS CDK
We use AWS CDK to deploy our infrastructure. Currently there is only a Terraform provider available to automate the MongoDB Atlas deployment. We would like to have such a provider also for AWS CDK.
In a first step this provider should support:
- mongodbatlascluster create, edit and delete clusters
- mongodbatlasdatabaseUser create and remove usersLater full feature set like in Terraform should be supported.
Currently we use a self written provider. But this has hundreds of lines of code and means a lot of maintenance effort. For our teams this additional effort can be a reason to…

Administrate user rights for the Billing area
Hi.
We would like to have the possibility to administrate user rights also for the Billing area. In order to restrict all users seeing the invoices and to give this right only to particular people who are directly responsible for it. Please consider such feature for the next releases.80 votes -
Support GCP Private Services Access to Atlas
Hello,
this is a request to support Private Service Access for Atlas deployments on GCP. Today, our options with Atlas are IP access lists or VPC Peering. However, these options create downstream limitations for our organizations. Additionally, only one peering connection can be made per Atlas project, which also limits us.
Thanks

Set schedules for pausing clusters
It could be incredibly helpful if we had a way to set a schedule to pause any given cluster as well as a schedule to un-pause it. This would help with cost savings and would allow to shutdown development clusters on weekends, after hours and holidays.

Ability to read the logs in old format
there should be option to download log files as native format, as we need to download multiple tools to get it to normal!!

Add the possibility to add a description for IP's in access control list for API keys
In the Atlas UI, allow to add a description in the IP's allowed to use an API key. This may improve security and ease management as it allows to easily maintain this list up to date.

Configurable number of insertion workers per collection for mongomirror
Mongorestore allows for the number of concurrent insertion workers per collection to be increased using the --numInsertionWorkersPerCollection option.
However, this is not available for mongomirror -- while you can increase the number of collections copied in parallel (--numParallelCollections), there's no parameter surfaced to allow more inserts to be occurring at the same time over multiple threads within each collection.
|t would be helpful to have a parameter like this to use to increase parallelization in order to increase the speed of migrations of large collections.

Live Migrate Individual Namespaces
Mongomirror allows you to migrate particular databases or collections using the --includeDB and --includeNamespace parameters:
https://docs.atlas.mongodb.com/reference/mongomirror/#cmdoption-includedb
https://docs.atlas.mongodb.com/reference/mongomirror/#cmdoption-includenamespaceIt would be helpful if Live Migrate allowed for use of these options as well to migrate subsets of data, instead of only migrating an entire cluster.

support external nodes
Allow manual addition of externally-hosted non-voting (hidden) node(s) to an Atlas cluster. This would permit:
- compliance with data management rules that require a copy of all data to be kept in-house (ie outside cloud)
- easier migration out of Atlas for real-time DB use cases where a stop/backup/restore is not a feasible route3 votes -
Atlas Screen Navigation
In both Atlas & Ops Manager, on screen navigation is not good. When I click an icon or item, the screen shows different layouts for each click.
For example, if I want to see Billing info, I have to click little 'mongo logo' icon, then Bill menu appears.
Then if I click All Cluster item, the Bill menu disappears and left navigation/ menu also disappear.
I have click multiple times, different icon, or menu to get what we want.
There is no consistency in the screen appearance when we click an 'icon or menu'. Each click shows different screens.

Setting up the New MFA/Adding a disabled user back to project
The whole process of setting up the new 2FA or MFA is very tiring. It should be simplified with the roles who can add new members and set up the method for new team members.
Chat was helpful but it's not easy to follow up for every team person. Also for a change in phone or lost device should have some details to get ahead for the user to access the db, after authentication.
As authenticator app gets lost with the device, it should not end in loop where it keep asking for Admin password.

Hide Intercom button/window
The intercom window frequently pops up and blocks information when I log in to Atlas or refresh a page. This is annoying and it should never open automatically (or at least I should have an option to make it never open automatically)
