BI connector Schema Refresh
Based on our recent experience with BI connector refresh , we had to bump the sample size to 15000 recently. This contributed to a longer outage on our real-time dashboard reporting. It took more than an hour for the schema refresh to complete. We are hoping in future we can add couple features to Mongo Atlas :
1) when BI connector refresh runs it would consider documents based on the last update time in the sample, so we can bring down the volume of sample considered and reduce the down time.
2) Enable BI connector schema refresh at a collection…1 vote -

Option To Disable Auto Upgrades
Would be great if we could disable the auto upgrades/updates of clusters. I.e., stop auto upgrade of cluster running 4.4.6 to 4.4.7.

OCSP stapling support for Atlas Clusters
What is the problem that needs to be solved? As a user (MongoDB Driver) you'd like to check revocation status of X.509 certificate via TLS Certificate Status Request extension (also known as OCSP stapling) instead of doing outgoing HTTP connection to OCSP endpoint from a user (MongoDB Driver) side.
Why is it a problem? (the pain) MongoDB Server v. 4.4.X introduces OCSP stapling functionality, however OCSP stapling is not enabled on Atlas Clusters with MongoDB Server v. 4.4.X.

Allow multiple private endpoints (Private Link Service) per region in multi-region cluster
Some situations require multiple private endpoints (using the Private Link service) to be created per region. This is not currently supported for multi-region replica sets.
One scenario is especially for when there is a shared VPC/VNet for initial transit from on-prem to cloud plus another VPC/VNet for an application. Both of those VPC/VNets would want a Private Endpoint to connect directly to the Atlas cluster. Even if it is possible (sometimes is not), routing traffic via multiple VPC/VNets would mean 3 hops to Atlas from on-prem

Put some kind of connection string generator / link / text on the "Database Access" screen
Hello!
It took quite a while for me to find a template connection string for Atlas, as I only thought to check the "Database Access" screen. Eventually I found the "Connect" button the "Clusters" screen, but it was a pretty frustrating time looking for something as essential as a connection string.
It would be great if you added something that would have prevented that-- a little widget where you pick your cluster and it spits out a template string. Or even just some text like "Looking for your connection string? Go to clusters, it's over there!"
Thanks!

Atlas collection explorer UI: The list of collections should not scroll with the rest of the page
I work with hundreds of collections, and I have two issues with the UI that make a not optimal UX:
- my collection names are large, and the collection list is not resizable.
Alternatively to resizing, a popping up tooltip could show the full name of the collection being hovered with the pointer- the list of collection scrolls with the rest of the page. when I want to search a collection at the bottom of the page I have to scroll down to select it, and then scroll up again to see the results.

Support encryption key management with a 100% EU-based provider
More and more large corporations in the EU are no longer using services that both host data and manage encryption keys with American companies due to the invalidation of Privacy Shield.
For a small SaaS-provider as ourselves, it is pushing us in the direction of having to choose between using MongoDB Atlas and losing a certain share of our clients, or figuring out a different database solution. We do not like these two choices.
We lost a deal with a major telecom company just this week due to us not wanting to replace MongoDB for our database. And there are…

Allow designating some team members to administer team membership
Currently adding and removing members from team requires Organization Owner privileges. We would like to distribute management of team membership to users without having to grant them root privileges on Atlas account.
The feature would allow us to designate some team members as admins for the team, and they could then add/remove team members. This is in similar in concept to how Github implements team maintainers for a GitHub Team.

Improve Cluster Name Limits
Cluster names currently impose the following limits:
Cluster names shorter than 23 characters can't end with hyphen or dash (-)
Cluster names 23 characters or longer can't use a hyphen or dash (-) as its 23rd character.
Instead, we should either trim or replace the hyphen at the end of a 23 character name.

migration should check actual disk space used by source MongoDB
The easy migration system seems to check the total disk space used on the source machine, and does not discriminate between that disk space used for MongoDB (which will be needed on Atlas) and those used for other applications.
Because the source system contains a lot of logs and a complete copy of our databases in different folders, we have had to configure Atlas to use >2x the actual disk space it'll need.

Using Aggregation Pipeline Builder in $facet stages
Writing more complex $facet stages (3+) without Pipeline Builder is a pain,
so being able to use that in that type of stage would be a huge help!
I mean being able to swap and use Pipeline Builder to every each branches of sub-pipelines in a $facet stage1 vote -
Being able to create Views from aggregation pipelines in Atlas
In Compass we can save pipelines as Views.
That would be great also in Atlas!
Same for both Views and On-Demand Materialized Views.1 vote -
