Left Side menu collapse
on the laptop screen, we have't much space for querying the data filter portion. If we have an option to collapse the left side menu, it may get more working space.

Multitenancy of the billing section in MongoDB Atlas
Hi MongoDB team,
as the organization owner I don't want that my organizational members (developers, project owners etc.) have access to the billing section. Currently every member (independent on the granted rights) has the rights to see the complete billing section and can see the whole invoice incl. the names of the projects. This isn't acceptable regarding compliance because we are working together with external companies and their colleagues shouldn't have the ability to see all invoices.
Please make the billing section of MongoDB Atlas available to handle multitenancy - so that only the organization owner can see the billing…

geospatial
Could we please consider boosting MongoDB's geospatial capabilities by incorporating Turf.js into Atlas. I would hope this would be an integration similar to Lucene in that it exposes some functionality through the UI, and some through aggregation. It would allow us to gain a huge amount of functionality. https://turfjs.org/

Confirmation of action requested on "Pause Cluster" link
Please add a confirmation of action requested when someone clicks on the "Pause Cluster" link, anywhere in the site.
We had an engineer accidentally click on that link and it caused a production outage, until it spun down and then back up.
Not sure if there is a confirmation on "Terminate", and I'm unwilling to test it, but any other potentially harmful action should be asking if the user really intended to do so.
Thanks!

I was using the collections tab to get some details of the collections on my cluster and thought that if the columns were sortable then it may make it easier to find the collection with the most docs, etc.

Increase the notice period for changes
You need to increase the notice period that you provide to your customers for changes that could affect their ability to connect to their database.
A good example of this was the upcoming change announced yesterday "Prepare for MongoDB Atlas TLS certificate root change starting May 1, 2021". You provided 3 days notice which is woefully inadequate.
I work with a lot of large financial institutions and have contractual obligations to provide them with 20 business days advance notice for any planned maintenance. This is simply not possible with the notice periods that you provide.

allow multiple Atlas CIDR (VPC Region) in the same project and allow attaching each cluster to the desired vpc.
today in order to have multiple vpcs in atlas (for example dev &prod)
they need to be separated projects, that create a lot of duplicated work and settings28 votes -
Atlas UI to manage and spin up on-prem clusters
CSM submitting on behalf of customer
Spinning up new clusters for on-prem deployments through the Atlas UI would save time and efforts for DBAs managing MongoDB deployments

Live Migrate modal: Allow users to point and click to select another Atlas source cluster
It is often practical to Live Migrate from one Atlas cluster to another Atlas cluster (e.g. to create another staging environment if backups are not enabled on the source, or migrate a production/staging environment to another dedicated project with minimal downtime).
Currently, the Live Migrate modal requires connection details from the source cluster, including the hostname of the primary, port, etc. Validation will fail if there are typos/errors in these inputs.
It would be easier to have a point-and-click option to "Migrate from another Atlas cluster" -- it could be a drop-down menu with names of other Atlas clusters in…

Seeing ports that Clusters listen to
In your documentation and even through the atlas web api, there is no straightforward method to see what ports my clusters communicate on. This is highly frustrating as I am using the Mongodb Atlas Private endpoint and need to Allow Inbound/Outbound communications on certain ports for the endpoint to work.

Display time unit for the Operation Execution Time in the Atlas Profiler
Currently, the Profile displays the Operation Execution Time without displaying the time unit. It would make the number easier to understand for end-users if the unit of time (milliseconds) could be displayed either in the label or near the value.

Allow cluster to define priority of availability zones
Similar to how it's possible to select the preferred region in a multi-region cluster, it would be beneficial being able to select the preferred availability zone in a single-region cluster. This would allow an application to live as close to the cluster's PRIMARY node as is possible.

More information about the progress during cluster reconfiguration
The progress bar (the blue bar on top) can be enhanced to provide more information.
Sometimes, the only information provided about an operation in progress is "All processes are in Goal State!" (Eg. changing a cluster class from General to NVMe)

I'd like to be able to connect to my cluster directly from the UI and have a shell-like experience i.e. run queries and operational commands
It would be great if I could connect to and run commands against my cluster via the Atlas UI so I don't have to rely on downloading and running the shell locally.
I'd also be more confident I was running commands against the right cluster as I would have less reliance on managing connection strings and differentiating between them. This would be helpful if I'm not on my regular machine and need to do some ad-hoc querying or debugging.

Determine programmatically if maintenance includes server version upgrade
Recently, Atlas introduced a feature that shows a cluster will have its MongoDB server version upgraded to the next dot version. This is displayed on the cluster card in the UI. However, this information is not surfaced in the Activity Feed or through any maintenance endpoints in the API. We would like to be able to identify when maintenance includes a MongoDB server version upgrade and do so programmatically.

Atlas Capacity Check for Cluster Creation or Changes
When creating large new clusters sometimes Atlas does not have enough resources available from the cloud provider. When this happens a restore or cluster change fails without reporting what the actual issue is.
Solution: Verify available capacity and issue a warning or error if it is possible that the operation will fail & recommend opening a support ticket (or have a dialog to automatically do so listing the details)
