Currently charts only "float" upwards, and not also "leftwards" (like they used to). However it would still be useful to be able to disable this behaviour.

When trying to arrange charts in a dashboard it's reasonably common to want to arrange them in a way that makes logical sense, and sometimes the alignment is important for comparison purposes. But in the worst case, the floating behaviour can require using non-optimal chart sizes, or adding deliberately blank "strut" charts whose sole purpose is to pad out space (which is confusing for viewers, who think that that chart is broken, rather than deliberately blank).

Even aside from GDPR style concerns, this makes using Charts from other geos very slow and painful, especially if the data cluster is also in a remote geo (remote to us-east, that is), due to all the round-trips required. Local processing would help this a lot.

Similarly, sometimes I mess up the editing of a chart, to the point that I want to throw away all my changes and start over with the previously saved state. Currently the only way to do this is to click "Cancel", and then find the chart in the dashboard and edit it again. It would be nice if there was a button that let me revert the chart editor to the saved state of the chart.

A possible workaround might be to use Unicode emoji characters in the chart title...?

Thanks for the suggestion Thomas – we are planning on implementing this later this year.
