Hide controls for users who do not have permissions to perform actions
Users who with restricted access are still able to view the controls/actions they are not allowed to perform. This makes it difficult for an admin to recognise right away if they gave a person the correct level of access because all screens look the same regardless of access level.

download linux mongosh from from "connect" modal
In the past when openning the "connect" modal of the "database deployments" page, and choosing "i dont have the mongodb shell installed" you could select the linux version of mongosh to download and install, according to the major linux distributions. now it only shows Mac or Windows, while, as my screenshot shows - the ability to download it still remain in some obscure link that was provided to me by your support staff. the ability to download the linux version of mongosh should be made available again directly from the modal

Make adding Teams to Projects searchable by any string.
Searching by only emails does not brings up Teams. Teams doesn't have emails so they doesn't show up, obviously.
There is also very bad UI with suggestions - only 2 items are shown. But no hint, that this list is scrollable. I found out by accident.

Show specific point in time for the "Restores & Downloads" UI
Right now, if you run a point-in-time restore, the "Restore & Downloads" sub-tab on the "Backup" tab of the cluster shows the "Snapshot Completed Time" which is not the user requested "point in time" which leads to massive amounts of confusion. The UI shows the snapshot that was restored to but has absolutely no indication of what time the oplog was replayed to, leading the user to believe that the restore did not correctly restore.
(whereas in actuality, the restore did correctly happen, just that the UI completely misleads the user)
e.g. I have a snapshot policy every day at…

Show Snapshot ID of the backup
The snapshot id is not surfaced in the web UI in any convenient way. If there is is a need to find it out for a restore this should be shown via UI instead of making complex API call just to get the snapshot ID.

Remove space margin in the web interface to have larger data viewer
The data viewer area in the collection tab is just too small for data with lots of wasted whitespace on the margin around the data viewer. Ref DataViewTooSmall.PNG

Network Access IPv6 Support
Would be great to have IPv6 support in Network Access section.
Currently, it looks like it supports IPv4 only.

Snapshot progress (% done) feedback in Atlas UI
While the "Status" of "Taking Snapshot" is informative in the Atlas UI, not knowing whether it will take another 10 minutes or 5 hours is a HUGE problem for production use. Please add % done indication similar to that of the restore feedback. CLI alternatives are NOT a replacement for a first-class UI experience.

Multiple Yubkeys
Thank you for enabling biometric/hardware security keys.
Please allow us to enroll multiple security keys into an account.Anyone who uses hardware keys appropriately has backups.
For mission-critical applications this is not a questionThe lack of multiple key enrollment (multiple yubikeys for example) renders the biometric enrollment more or less null.

In Atlas, create a Fixed Update area (for the blue status bar) to prevent content pane from shifting down
Create a fixed area for the blue bar status update after creating a Snapshot or after an API call is executed, so the content pane does not shift down and risk the user from inadvertently running a "Pause Cluster", "Terminate", or other command.

Dark mode needed urgently
Please there should be a section where a user can select light/dark theme because it improves visibility for users with low vision and those who are sensitive to bright light,
makes it easier to stay focused whilst working.
also, prolong the battery life of a user PC/smartphone.48 votes -
UI for self hosted community version of MongoDB
It is too hard to do the changes over command prompt in todays rapid changing world. Admins must be given and option to configure machine and orchestrate nodes using an WEB GUI like .NET Blazor / MAUI to create web ui + Desktop + Mobile [or react like since everything is json here]
This is for self hosted solutions especially community version. A minimal UI is great to have and will make better user experience.3 votes -
Organize by Organization in support tickets.
When opening a ticket, this UI doesn't organize by Organization. It shows all the projects in one drop down.
If I have two "production" projects, then I won't know which is which.
The UI needs an Organization filter.

Show the number of results when filtering a collection
It would be great to display the number of results when filtering a collection.
Currently, the only way to have this information is to click through all the pages of results until reaching the last page. But often, the only information I need is the number of results, and I don't care about the results themselves.
Duplicate of:
https://feedback.mongodb.com/forums/924145-atlas/suggestions/43695636-total-document-count-on-filterBut it belongs more in this category, IMHO.

Instead of loading all collections, let me choose which namespace to open in data explorer
when attempting to view collections we run into long delays or a failure to load. Especially When loading list for large instances it always fails to load and there are some performance issues for larger instances as well for loading new pages.
We frequently leverage the data explorer in Atlas, and this is the most painful part of our workflow.
Would it be possibly to search for specific collection instead of loading all collections every time we open the collections tab?
