Expand all in JSON view should be brought back
When in JSON view, we can previously expand all properties inside a document node by using CTRL+LEFT CLICK (or ALT+LEFT CLICK, i've forgotten).
This feature was removed within the last year.

Unproductiveness is getting worse and worse
Though we a conversation regarding annoying "what's new" messages, the situation is really getting worse. Even so bad, I am considering paying for a 3rd party tool. But my in vest on your product is taking my time to give this feedback, in order to improve your product.
The latest message that is keeping me away from beeing productive is this message coming up when entering a value for "skip" at the query options field.=> "Use natural language to generate queries and pipelines

Save favorite collections for quick and easier access
Working in a large company with many collections, while only several collections are relevant to your daily work can be a hassle.
It'd be nice if there was a way to mark selected collections that would appear on top of all other collections or in a category, like the favorite connection strings or the saved queries6 votes -
Use tab to validate auto-completion
Regression in version 1.36.2: it's no longer possible to validate auto-completion using "tab" key. Only "Enter" now works

Default connection selection on startup screen.
Currently there is no default connection setting, when I start the program I am greeted with the new connection dialog. I do not find this very useful especially with a stable environment, how often do you use new connection against saved ones.

Make Compass update notification non-blocking
New versions are constantly available. Blocking workflow with constant prompts is frustrating. No other software does this. Put in taskbar or somewhere passive!!

add option for skipping a version update
On MacOS (ARM), add an option for "skip this version update".
Not sure, if this issue persists in other builds as well.
Right now, everytime compass is launched it presents an annoying popup asking for update, and the only options are install, or ask me later. If you select ask me later, it shows the popup again on next start. What is needed is an option for "Don't ask me again for this version". This is kind of a standard feature in most products.
Thanks.

How about making your installer do something when you prompt to install an update
I get prompted every day by Compass telling me there is an update to install. When you agree to install the update, nothing happens! I cannot say that I have EVER seen the installer work outside of doing a winget installation or going to your website and downloading the installer. If you are going to waste our time every time we open Compass, then stop asking us to do an upgrade! VERY ANNOYING!!!!!

my idea is that you add a menu where user can ask any problem he/she is having while using MongoDB compass and get solution quickly

parameter paginate?
Could we set the page limit when browsing a collection? For instance, increasing it from 20 to 100 per page?

Automatically pre-call `mongod --dbpath <path>` for connections to localhost.
On Windows, whenever we connect to a localhost mongo, we need to call
mongod --dbpath <db path>
in a Command Prompt or Powershell prompt before clicking the "Connect" button in Compass.
So Compass should offer the ability to automatically "pre-call" that and then perform the connection (if call was successful).1 vote -
In-order to make the Compass more aligned with the Atlas, can we have Chart feature in Compass as well?
Feature of Chart as it is in Atlas would help users to do more experiments and tests on his/her local before going to the Atlas

Missing charts features
The charts inside mongodb are quiet nice but lacks some basic features to be able to setup a environment to create, test and deploy charts from tests to production. Also it is not possible to proper support localization.
It is not possible to develop charts to allow proper development, testing and deploy.
Those features are a must to really work in a proper way:Import/Export:
Severity: HIGH
- The current export does not include the charts view. It should contain the charts view (including its aggregation pipeline)
- Import should then allow create/override the charts view
Localization:
Severity: HIGH
- Allow define locales…

Yellow triangle icon for "drop index" and other caution messages
In MongoDB Compass, when I use the Drop Index functionality you get when clicking the "trash can" icon next to an index in the Indexes list on a collection, it shows a red "!" triangle icon in the upper left. That icon is used here to mean "Caution! You are about to do something dangerous!", as confirmed in Support case https://support.mongodb.com/case/01122132.
I think it's more conventional to use red icons, especially "!" or triangles like this, to indicate that an error has occurred, and warnings or cautions are more conventionally indicated in yellow. (There's probably some UI/UX documents or…
