    database in restricted mode can very helpful .. so we can carry out , lock users out, rebuild indexes, compact and other admin tasks.

    We too prefer we feature. While continuous backup is good for oltp application, but it is little helpful for batch jobs. The batch jobs drops and reload collections .. it puts pressure on oplog store. We prefer on-demand or adhoc snapshot for batch job applications.

    We prefer adhoc-snapshot feature separate from continuous backup. With on-demand we can create checkpoints.
