Improve MFA login with automatic trigger
When I login to "account.mongodb.com" with MFA enabled I'm presented with a page "Verify Your Identity" and I have to select a "Authentication Method".
But since I have only one method available, why the page can't select and trigger it automatically? If you implement this proposal, the login proces will be a bit faster.6 votes -
Stretchable / Customizable Collection Panel width
We have long names for collections and most times first few letters are always same, it would be great if we can stretch the left panel width so that we could see the full collection name.

On the login screen, display both email and password field at once
On the login screen, both the email and password fields should be visible at once.
This would provide many benefits:
- Password managers would be able to fill out the info correctly on the first try
- Users would be able to Tab through the inputs
- Users would avoid a pointless intermediary state
I assume the vast majority of Atlas users know exactly what to expect from a login form so I believe hiding the obvious doesn't help anyone.

"Automation Status" button for all
I just had an atlas workshop. The trainer changed a cluster and got the "We are deploying your changes ..." blue bar at the top.
But he also got a "AUTOMATION STATUS" button in there, showing a very helpful table reflecting the changing cluster members and tasks in real time.
I asked in the chat and got the info: "Unfortunately, this automation status button is only available to MongoDB employee accounts."
I'd like to see this feature released into the wild.

Snapshot progress (% done) feedback in Atlas UI
While the "Status" of "Taking Snapshot" is informative in the Atlas UI, not knowing whether it will take another 10 minutes or 5 hours is a HUGE problem for production use. Please add % done indication similar to that of the restore feedback. CLI alternatives are NOT a replacement for a first-class UI experience.

Multiple Yubkeys
Thank you for enabling biometric/hardware security keys.
Please allow us to enroll multiple security keys into an account.Anyone who uses hardware keys appropriately has backups.
For mission-critical applications this is not a questionThe lack of multiple key enrollment (multiple yubikeys for example) renders the biometric enrollment more or less null.

Show the number of results when filtering a collection
It would be great to display the number of results when filtering a collection.
Currently, the only way to have this information is to click through all the pages of results until reaching the last page. But often, the only information I need is the number of results, and I don't care about the results themselves.
Duplicate of:
https://feedback.mongodb.com/forums/924145-atlas/suggestions/43695636-total-document-count-on-filterBut it belongs more in this category, IMHO.

Project level Key Pair IP Address add controls
When creating an API Key pair at a project level, there are options to add an IP address. Unfortunately, after the initial creation, there are no options for Project Owners to modify this setting. This is currently requiring Organization Owner access to update. This request would allow modification of Project-level API keys to be modified by Project level owners.

Logs menu item should be always clickable, even while on Logs page, to allow quick reloading.
In the Stitch UI: https://stitch.mongodb.com/groups/<some_uid>/apps/<another_uid>/logs
On the left hand side menu, the Logs menu item under "Manage". Right now if you click on it and display the logs, the "Logs" menu item becomes un-clickable.
Since the Logs is not self-updating, when I need to refresh this page, I need to click way to another item and click back. Or I need to use the browser's Reload button, in order to refresh the Logs page to get the latest logs during debugging.
I'd like the "Logs" menu item link to be always clickable and load the Logs page, even when…

download linux mongosh from from "connect" modal
In the past when openning the "connect" modal of the "database deployments" page, and choosing "i dont have the mongodb shell installed" you could select the linux version of mongosh to download and install, according to the major linux distributions. now it only shows Mac or Windows, while, as my screenshot shows - the ability to download it still remain in some obscure link that was provided to me by your support staff. the ability to download the linux version of mongosh should be made available again directly from the modal

Filter on Collection / Database name should be retained after the click of either the collection / database
It's pretty annoying that once you filter say xyz in Namespace / database / collection, it shows the filtered database and collections but once user clicks on any of these UI looses the filter string and navigation resets.

Backup Cost Estimator
As backup retention policy or amount of data changes, it is difficult for customers to easily estimate or visualize how these changes will impact cost of backups. It would be helpful to have further visibility into this.

Make the Network Access table sortable via IP and Description
It would be very useful to be able to sort the network access table by ip and description

Remove Forced Survey for New Accounts
On a new account, after logging in, the UI will prompt you to fill out a survey about your project EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. There's no reason why any customer (especially paying ones) should be bombarded like this. I have no interest in ever filling this out. Please help with removing this pesty feature.

Make Visit Project Settings in Organizational view page available to Project Owners
Currently Org Owners from the Main Organizational view page can see the Visit Project Settings option for each Project.
However, Project Owners cannot see this option from the Main Organizational view page and they can only see all menu options at the Project level page where Project Settings is not visible.
If Project Owners could see the Visit Project Settings option from the Main Organizational view page this would make navigation much easier rather than opening up the Project Level page to open Project settings

Hide controls for users who do not have permissions to perform actions
Users who with restricted access are still able to view the controls/actions they are not allowed to perform. This makes it difficult for an admin to recognise right away if they gave a person the correct level of access because all screens look the same regardless of access level.

Show specific point in time for the "Restores & Downloads" UI
Right now, if you run a point-in-time restore, the "Restore & Downloads" sub-tab on the "Backup" tab of the cluster shows the "Snapshot Completed Time" which is not the user requested "point in time" which leads to massive amounts of confusion. The UI shows the snapshot that was restored to but has absolutely no indication of what time the oplog was replayed to, leading the user to believe that the restore did not correctly restore.
(whereas in actuality, the restore did correctly happen, just that the UI completely misleads the user)
e.g. I have a snapshot policy every day at…

UI for self hosted community version of MongoDB
It is too hard to do the changes over command prompt in todays rapid changing world. Admins must be given and option to configure machine and orchestrate nodes using an WEB GUI like .NET Blazor / MAUI to create web ui + Desktop + Mobile [or react like since everything is json here]
This is for self hosted solutions especially community version. A minimal UI is great to have and will make better user experience.2 votes
