Clear default values for New Replica Set and Cluster Component names in UI
Clear default values for New Replica Set and Cluster Component names in UI
Replica Set and Cluster Component names cannot be changed after deployment.
The names are often overlooked while deploying and the defaults accepted configuring the names.
If the fields were blank but mandatory (maybe with examples below the field) customers would be forced to choose logical names for their deployments.| Field | Current Default Value|

Abiity to configure Global Deployment Alerts in Cloud Manager similar to Ops Manager
What is the problem that needs to be solved? Ability to set alerts at a global level for all projects, similar to functionality currently in Ops Manager
Why is it a problem? (the pain) There is a basic set of alerting for all clusters that we use; instead of setting up each project with the same alerts, have a global alert level that covers all projects. Ops Manager currently has this functionality

Ability to define a custom CA PEM file for Webhook configuration on Ops Manager
Currently, Ops Manager user may require to add the CA for the TLS enabled Webhook Endpoint directly to the Java Trust Store. Adding CA to Java Trust Store also requires to re-apply if Ops Manager Application is upgraded or re-install.
It would be best to have a feature in Ops Manager so that the user is able to upload the required CA via UI.

Disk Space Grow Rate Metric
DB Storage metric is not enough for us. We want to know the GROW RATE not the current value. We want to calculate the database used grow rate space regarding, comparing a past value with the current value. The result of the calculation can be positive (grow rate) or negative meaning database space did not grew up in that period. This is important to define tendency and trigger a disk expansion.

Introduce Helm Chart for MongoDB, MongoDBUser and secrets
Provide a helm chart that deploys MongoDB, MongoDBUser, secrets and all other resources needed.
The goal is to simplify the deployment of a MongoDB instance and everything that comes with it down to a helm one-liner.
9 votesWe have an example of a HELM chart that can deploy all resources.
We will be working on adding more refined charts

Data Size on the header of Overview/Real Time/Metrics/Data/Profiler/Performance Advisor pages
Data Size on the header of Overview/Real Time/Metrics/Data/Profiler/Performance Advisor pages appears to be incorrect.
Reasearch indicates that the "Data Size" next to "Status" on the Overview/Real Time/Metrics/Data/Profiler/Performance Advisor pages possibly does not include "local" DB and may have an incorrect divisor.
It also shows the same possibly incorrect value on each Deployment in the "Processes" page. We, DBAs, and our application teams, who have access to the Ops Manager, have been relying on this metric info each time we needed to find the size of a user DB.

Improve backup process with automatic reparation of broken job
Enhance the Ops Manager feature for the detecting of broken processes, validating its sanity, so that Ops Manager could "un-break" processes and start regular backups without any manual intervention.

SNMP traps for `AUTOMATION_AGENT_DOWN`, `MONITORING_AGENT_DOWN`, `BACKUP_AGENT_DOWN` alert types does not contain hostname information
What is the problem that needs to be solved? SNMP traps for
AUTOMATION_AGENT_DOWN
,MONITORING_AGENT_DOWN
,BACKUP_AGENT_DOWN
alert types does not contain hostname information in.1.3.6.1.4.1.41138.1.1.1.4
(.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.mms.server.serverMIBObjects.mmsAlertObject.mmsAlertHostAndPort
) OID.Why is it a problem? (the pain) User is blocked to act quickly on the alert and identify the host where Ops Manager's Automation/Monitoring/Backup Agent is in
DOWN
state. Missing<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>
information at.1.3.6.1.4.1.41138.1.1.1.4
SNMP OID does not allow user to mapAUTOMATION_AGENT_DOWN
,MONITORING_AGENT_DOWN
,BACKUP_AGENT_DOWN
alert types into a particular hostname.17 votes -

Ability to send SNMPv3 Alert Traps for configured Ops Manager Alerts
What is the problem that needs to be solved? Ops Manager Alerts should have possibility to send SNMPv3 Alert Traps to configured destinations. SNMPv3 provides better authentication, data encryption and message integrity in comparison to SNMPv2c protocol.
Why is it a problem? (the pain) It is mandatory to use SNMPv3 in many enterprise deployments as SNMPv2c does plaintext community string authentication without encryption (SNMPv3 does MD5/SHA1 hashing for passwords and provides encryption for SNMP data).

Automation should handle multiple hostname aliases for each server
In order to separate replication, client and administrative traffic, servers may have multiple network interfaces using different IP and hostname aliases associated with them.
According to the requirements described on https://docs.opsmanager.mongodb.com/current/tutorial/provisioning-prep/#server-networking-access Automation currently can use only the server hostname defined as
hostname -f
and cannot use any of the other aliases matching to other IP addresses for the other machine host aliases. Please add some way to customize which host alias Automation should use as a configuration parameter for the Agent.

Add collection level statistics to the measurements API
Get Database Measurements currently provides information from dbStats.
Adding collection level statistics would be useful for gathering information via the API on a regular basis to measure growth of each collection and other metrics. Data Explorer functionality is not available via the API.

KMIP Server Host
Ability to enter multiple values for "KMIP Server Host" under KMIP Server Configuration in the Backup Configuration page of the Ops Manager Config. This would be similar to entering multiple values for 'kmipServerName' for deployments. This would help in terms of HA for KMIP; use a secondary KMIP server if the primary were to be unavailable.

FCV 4.2 backup snapshot progress description UI issue
In the "Continuous Backup" when a FCV 4.2 backup snapshot is in progress the progress label text can be too long to be displayed:
Sync:
Transferring - Snapshot received XXXMB of YYYMB from zzz/www files over N hrs (xxx kB/s). Overall progress - XX %The CSS currently has
overflow: hidden
so the text that doesn't fit the table cell in the page is hidden. The only way to see the complete status is enlarging the browser window or zoom out the page.
Please improve the page by improving the CSS style of this page, for example by enabling text…

Use word, not letter to define log levels in Ops Manager
