For completeness, please note that that customers keen to leverage MongoDB Atlas for ePHI data can sign a BAA with MongoDB: MongoDB Cloud stands ready for HIPAA workloads.
MongoDB has also undergone third party compliance certificates under the SOC-2 Type 2, ISO-27001, and PCI-DSS standards.
