Alerts on Configuration Changes
It would be nice to have an alert configurable when any change is made to the cluster configuration. It helps with compliance that there is knowledge of such changes without having to manually search and activity feed.

Support node type or node tags as condition in MongoDB Atlas Alert
Currently, the MongoDB Atlas does not support the node types [1] or node tags [2] as the condition in Atlas alerts. That would be super inconvenient for the following scenarios.
Scenario 1: If the user wants to create an alert to monitor the specific node type, such as READ_ONLY node or ANALYTICS nodes, there is no convenient way to achieve it. The current approach must set up the alert by using the hardcode hostname.
Scenario 2: If the user has some electable nodes and a analytics node in a cluster, and wants to focus on monitoring the electable nodes (workload),…

mute alerts during set times
We would like to be able to set a time frame for when an alert can be triggered.
Our use case is that some devs schedule high impact queries to run at night. If the rule is triggered at night, then we don't care, but if it's triggered during the day, it's something we look at and fix.

Need Monitoring Feature for MongoDB Charts data transfer usage / alerts
We need to use MongoDB charts but we want to ensure that we don't go beyond the 1GB Free data transfer threshold limit. As per support there is no such monitoring feature . Requesting to add a new feature that will:
1) Help us to automatically monitor the data transfer usage for MongoDB chart
2) Alert the team via email in case it reaches 1GB free threshold limitThanks

Generate and send MongoDB Alert emails without graphics
Images are always added when generating mails, and unfortunately, our central monitoring system can't cope with that. It would be great if you can generate and send MongoDB Alert emails without graphics.

Get only one invariant IP address as addressee when using webhooks for alerts
When using webhooks, alerts can unfortunately be sent from a large number of IP addresses. This is problematic for our network team and security requirements. It would be great if there was a way to get only one invariant IP address as addressee, possibly by putting a proxy in between.

New Default Alert for Connection Timeout
It would be helpful if there is a default alert in the Atlas UI for a connection timeout, rather than this only being in the log file.

Add alerts on disk IOPS and CPU IOWAIT %
To help catch heavy disk workloads before they become problematic, it would be great to have alerts on:
- disk IOPS percentage utilization for disks without burstable IOPS
- burst credit utilization for disks with burstable IOPS
- CPU IOWAIT %65 votes -
Add option to alert on "degraded" state of cluster
I would like to setup an alert for the cluster state 'degraded', which isn't available as an option at the moment. Could you consider adding this as an option?

pagerduty - User certificate expiration NDS_X509_USER lack of details
The alert type NDSX509USERAUTHENTICATIONMANAGEDUSERCERTSEXPIRATIONCHECK sent to pager duty using integration key miss some important information, such as, the name of the certificate that is about to expire. We have to open MongoDb atlas to see the details.
I want to have all the details, the same when we send the notification by Email.1 vote -
Add the ability to trigger alerts for testing purposes
It would be useful to have a "Test Alert" button for each configured alert in order to integrate and test alerts with third-party systems. Otherwise, it is difficult if not impossible to determine what the alert will look like until it is triggered.

Include Human-Friendly Cluster Names in Alert Notifications
Please include the human-friendly cluster/host names in Monitoring Alert Notifications (e.g. email, PagerDuty, etc) in addition to, or instead of, the less clear internal cluster/hostnames (i.e. atlas-abcdef-shard-0).

selected option scroll disappear on click to scroll
In Atlas within Insert Document: When using the data type selection, clicking on the scroll bar or arrow causes the select option to disappear. Possibly increasing the size of the select option depth to where scroll is not needed may help.

alerting when a node has a non standard state
Add a new type of alert : to be alerted when one cluster node goes to a state different of standard states ("primary" or "secondary").
For example, I have a cluster that one secondary node is on a transient state : "other".
Thank you.2 votes -
Be able to see the replica set member states via MongoDB Atlas on a Datadog dashboard and get alerts if it changes
It doesn't look like these health metrics are available for the Atlas product. Would love to be able to use the metric mongodb.replset.health in MongoDB Atlas for both monitoring and alerting so that we can see the replica set member state on a dashboard as well as get alerted if it changes.

allow control of pagerduty urgency (currently high) so that alerts can be managed better
Some alerts you need to know about immediately, others, the next working day will suffice. Allowing the user to set the urgency for each alert will allow a greater control over pager fatigue without having to bypass PagerDuty
