Shortcut to copy chart ID
A simple button when the user hovers the chart that allows us to copy the chart ID without going to "embed > copy a part of the iframe" would really help people integrating dozens of charts. Thanks!

team access control & datasource batch access
Controlling access for 40 team members & ~200data sources is super cumbersome and we actually stopped giving new coworkers access because it's so much work.
I'd love if i could just give team level read access to all charts & datasources needed within the chart.

Chart Annotations
For continuous/discrete line and area charts, I would like to apply annotations to my charts so that I can highlight certain data points of my graph. A use-case for this would be to display targets that need to be achieved for my data or to explain certain events at a time point.
See attached image for a mockup.

Custom Binning Ranges
Hi Tom (and Team). We would love the ability to bin by custom ranges. We currently can only set a static number, which can lead to some pretty non-standard groupings of data.
EG: For Age, we'd like to be able to create the following bins: 0-17, 18-25, 26-35, 36-45, etc... Since under 18 is a common age range to group together, the bins we have to used are 0-17, 18-34, 35-52, etc..., which isn't a terribly standard age range to group data by.

Show ALL filters in a scrollable list, instead of forcing users to "Add value" when there are more than ~20 possible filters.
When creating a dashboard in MongoDB Charts, the "filter" functionality is GREAT.
However, when there are more than ~20 possible values, the remaining values are completely hidden and "Not all values are displayed" is shown.
Users can manually "Add value" to apply a filter, but that requires the user to KNOW what the missing filter value(s) are.
This is an issue for us, because we are a franchise with 26+ locations, and often want to filter our client data at the store level. Unfortunately, because every shop is not listed in the filters (6-8 are not displayed), it's really hard…

view and change configured scheduling
Currently i can define scheduling for dashboard export. That is nice. But i cannot find a possibility to later on view and change these settings. I would like to do so.

Whitelabel version
I am not sure about licencing and the fact this is in BETA but it would be good to have a version where we could put in our companies logo and treat it as a portal for clients

Ability to use line chart with area chart for prediction intervals
First of all, great idea and implementation! It would be nice to have the possibility to create prediction intervals while plotting, for example, a time series object and its forecast. Something similar to https://i.stack.imgur.com/3tJap.png
There are already line charts and area charts object, but so far it is not possible mixing them and use them to generate such a visualization.5 votes -
Show "no matching data" rather than having a blank chart
I have a dashboard containing several charts. We also added filtering (which is complex and I had to build my own UI, which seems redundant - see https://feedback.mongodb.com/forums/923524-charts/suggestions/43736778-embedding-charts-with-filter-ui). In some cases, the user could create filters that end up filtering out all of the data. Strangely, this causes all of the charts in the dashboard to render completely blank. I would expect that, for example, a table would have all of its data replaced with zeroes, and a map might show without any of the countries being shaded. But instead, it's all blank, with no message of any kind.

Multiple custom tooltip details
while building a chart, like a scatter plot, you can add a tool tip detail to annotate data points with extra information. This is very useful but unfortunately if I want to add multiple fields, I have to use a projection with $concat to combine the fields and this leads to weird wrapping, it would be nice if there was an option to add multiple fields from the source documents as tooltip details

It will be amazing to support programmatically creating/updating/deleting the dashboards and charts, with SDKs and/or Terraform.

Support Atlas Search-based filtering when embedded dashboard/chart filter is set
Currently, when
setFilter()
is called on an embedded dashboard/chart, a$match
aggregation stage is added to the data source pipeline; however, if the data source pipeline is using$search
or$searchMeta
, we need a way to allow Atlas Search to handle the filtering, since$match
cannot precede$search/$searchMeta
. Providing a programmatic way to set/modify acompound
operator inside$search/$searchMeta
would address this need4 votes -
Custom logo watermark on charts
Would be great to add a semi-transparent watermark to the corner or center of charts. Especially useful while screenshotting or embedding charts.
If i can set a global config for watermarks across all charts, that would be great as well.

See the charts used by a data source
When editing the pipeline for a data source, there is a message saying "This data source is used by one or more charts. Any changes to the pipeline may impact these charts."
It would be nice to have a convenient way to see a list of the charts used by that data source, so that I can fix the charts after modifying the data source pipeline.
Currently, I need to go to each of my charts and click on the "Edit" button to see which data source it is using, which is inconvenient if I have a lot of charts.

Charts in source code
We have different environments and creating the chart in a test environment and then deploying this dashboard/graph to another environment would be nice. Kinda like how you deal with deploying code to different environments from source code. Either have the option to link chart to another system like github, azure devops or similar git repos or have some kind of chart-library you can version control your charts to. In the live environment if a chart has been changed that broke something going back to the previous version would be really helpful.

Import single charts in existing dashboards
As we can now export dashboards as code, it could be great and very usefull to have the option of import a single chart (or some) into an existing dashboard.

Anonymous link with password
Hi, It would be super nice to be able to create a shareable, anonymous link to any dashboard (like what is possible now), but with the added security of a password. Simply so that you can share dashboards with others by sending a link and password separately for some basic security, but without creating actual users.
