  1. Disable Realm

    It would be great to be able to disable a realm without deleting it. Currently, this is possible by unlinking the cluster or exporting the realm and deleting it. Both of which create more work when firing it back up.

    It would also be amazing to be able to tie that in with billing alerts. Say I would rather my app crash than pay more than a certain amount because of Realm usage.

    In essence, I'm asking for an "always free" Realm that just disables itself when the free tier has been hit so that I can be 100% certain…

  2. Supporting backward compatibility

    The requirement is backward compatibility. Let's say i have 3 apps from same family(i.e same app groups). These three apps access the same realm db using app group id.

    For example - apps like gdrive, g docs and g sheet. All these app access/use the same db.

    Similarly the app can use realm db and share the db with the app groups' apps.

    as of now, If we update the main app's DB, we will have to set the new scheme version. if we set this, other apps will get crashed.

    Note : Any changes in main app will need…

  3. Expose dbstats / stats in Functions

    Add to the allowable MongoDB actions to be able query the database size, like: db.runCommand({ dbStats: 1, scale: 1 }) or by collection like db.sources.stats()

  4. Availability of Args in Function Context

    Not sure if this is do-able already or not. Couldn't find documentation.

    I have a function that looks like

    exports = function(dbName, collectionName, pipeline){...

    I want to be able to access the arguments sent to the function in the Can Evaluate JSON expression.

    I assumed it might work like

    {

          "%%args.dbName": "eflex-test"

    }

    but that doesn't seem to work

  5. Access to %%args in Filters

    Allow the access to %%args in filters. This would make it possible to make the apply_when of filters more dynamic by accessing the incoming queries. As of now, filters are completely static due not having access to any incoming information.

  6. Broader Push Notification Support

    I've moved from Firebase because of the lack of support for React-Native and I've just discovered that I need to use Firebase to receive Push Notifications from my App. I'm aware of the complexity of adding this layer to SDKs, but you're already much ahead of Firebase in terms of SDK maintenance and support, being able to make a full app's stack would be wonderful for many, I think.

  8. Ability to set parameters through a webhook path

    It would be nice to use webhook path to pass payload to the webhook for example:
    /api/mypath/{deviceId}/data

    Instead of
    /api/mypath/data?deviceId={deviceId}

  9. Ability to expose API via our own custom DNS entry

    We would like to expose the APIs created directly to our clients. But we would like them to utilize a domain from our company. At this time we are going to use AWS API Gateway as a reverse proxy.

    But all we really would need is the ability to host our ssl cert that corresponds to our domain

  10. RDBMS Connectors

    Make the previously available data connectors available for Realm’s data adapter to sync data from the Realm Object Server to a Microsoft SQL Server and vice versa.

  11. Allow one-to-many relationships in Realm GraphQL

    Two collections A & B. One field say _id of collection A is the "foreign key" for a field say "field1" in collection B.

    A: {_id:1, k1:v1, k2:v2}

    B: {f1:1, x1:y1} //Values of field f1 correspond to values of _id in A
    B: {f1:1, x1:y2}

    For one value of _id in A, there can be multiple corresponding documents in B. If we create a relationship currently in Realm GraphQL, only one document is fetched. The expected result set is 2 documents.

    The current cumbersome workaround is to add an array field in collection A with all corresponding document IDs from…

  12. Support for VPC Peering and IP Whitelisting

    It would be great to add security to requests by being able to respect the relevant Atlas project peering and IP Whitelisting to reach Functions.

  13. Accept New Release of MongoDB Realm

    We need the ability to be able to accept new releases, similarly to how you push updates to clusters so we can 1)be aware and test new releases in test environments 2)schedule updates for least disruptive periods.

  14. Search Across Functions Code in Cloud UI

    In writing any app, there are likely to be multiple Functions stored. A developer should have the ability to search for specific snippets or text elements across all Functions.

  16. Human readable URLs in UI

    Currently, the app urls are extremely long and unreadable, for example: https://realm.mongodb.com/groups/5ab028594e6581148629dc65/apps/5b28f4615fdce07a74cd7f50/triggers/5bcf226fe707c05350750dcc
    This looks pretty ugly. It would be a lot more user friendly to:
    - eliminate the /groups/<groupID>/ portion of the URL entirely - the app ID already uniquely identifies the group anyway
    - use the clientAppID instead of the raw objectID for /apps/<appID>.
    For example, the above URL could instead be represented as
    https://realm.mongodb.com/apps/my-app-xyz/triggers/5bcf226fe707c05350750dcc
    with no loss of functionality or precision
