    Because the X only appears on hover I have clicked it so many times on accident. Very annoying.

    I anticipate that I can click the tab, because the X is not visible, however when you move and click your mouse you see the X button for 1ms, but then it's too late, you have already closed the tab. This is very bad ux.

    Just show the X button always. A bonus would be if it would not be so super big.
