Make it work
The window app is soooooo slow....
it takes forever to startup... and I have a very good workstationPlus, I upgraded now to 1.20.5 version and NONE of my connections work anymore... they ALL timeout at 30000ms :/
I will have to downgrade it
8 votesFrom compass 1.29 on, we changed how plugins are bundled and loaded, which resulted in a much faster startup time.
I am not sure what was going on with the connections, but please reply to this email and let me know if it’s still an issue with the most recent version of Compass.

Need option to specifying readPreferenceTags in the connect string
I'd like to specify a readPreference tag set so that i can connect and query only specific nodes. I cannot find the equivalent of readPreferenceTags for the connection string in Compass.

Allow mouse selection of data in read mode
Unless a document is being edited, it is impossible to select its data values with the mouse for copy/paste operations. I often need to copy a document's _id, which requires that I click to edit the document, select and copy _id value then cancel edit. It seems to me that I could select in read mode before... Thanks!

Export result of aggregated query
There is no way to export a result of an aggregated query.

Rename connection
After cloning a connection, it has the same name with "(copy)" appended. But in my favorites list it is now impossible to differentiate, and there is no way currently to rename a connection.

Reverse sort order by default
I was a big RockMongo user and am now trying to switch over to Compass. I found it extremely convenient that in RockMongo, the default sort order was {_id: -1} because that means that you see the most recent records first. I didn't realize how useful this was until I discovered that Compass sorts in forward order. Either a "reverse order" button or simply a change to the default would be highly desireable.

Double-click on a favourite in the side bar to quickly connect
As a user of two or more favourites, and who cycles between them both frequently, I would like the ability to double-click on the favourite connection in the sidebar so I can quickly connect to the connection. This would speed up my journey from disconnecting from one connection > clicking on the favourite for the other connection > scrolling down to click the primary "connect button" > connecting. With it I could simple double-click to connect.

Remove Intercom chat button
It blocks my data and uses up valuable screen real estate.

We will use the Intercom functionality about once per quarter ask for feedback if users opted in but aside for that, the messenger remains hidden.

Insert document from JSON
The Insert Document dialog requires you to enter keys/values one by one. If you already have a document in JSON format, it is time consuming to add it field by field. There should be a way to paste a complete JSON document into the dialog so it can be added to a collection.

Execute an aggregation pipeline and view full results
The current Aggregation Pipeline Builder is good for authoring pipelines, but not so much for running them. The final results are limited to 20 docs and not easy to view, and viewing the intermediate stage outputs can slow down performance. There should be a way to execute a pipeline and page through the complete results.

I would like to have multiple connections in a single Compass window
I would like to have multiple connections in a single Compass window so that I don't have to have multiple windows open when working across many deployments.
