Month-to-date, Quarter-to-date & Year-to-date filtering
Enable the possibility to use Month-to-date, Quarter-to-date & Year-to-date filtering options using Timestamp in any MongoDB Chart. At the moment, it's only "Last", "Now" & "Next".

Add a "Download as (CSV/JSON/...)" button to each chart in Charts
Now that we can share charts to people outside of our org it would be really nice if they could download each chart data.
Right now it is only possible if one can edit the chart but it is really useful also for users that are only viewers

Fix Text Table Colors
Text table rows are hard coded to either have white or the greenish-gray background depending on whether you select the light or dark theme.
They should be transparent so they respect the background styling of the page like every other chart.

Daily Emails
It would be cool if I could get an email every morning from one of my dashboards.

Individualized Embedded Charts
It would be useful to create a chart containing client data and embed it in a website. When a client logs into a website, the chart displays their individual data. They also wouldn't be able to see other client's data.

Ability to hide a chart title and release the space it occupies
I'd like to be able to create/embed charts without titles. I can currently set the title to a simple space character but the space at the top remains blank/taken.

Export Options
After creating a chart, provide export options of generated graph as an image (variable formats), documents (PDF, DOCX, etc), and as a simple HTML page that has CSS styling.

Show trendlines in charts
It would be great to add support for trendlines in column and line charts.
For example, if I have a chart for daily/weekly/monthly active users, it would be very helpful to have a trendline to show if the active users are increasing or decreasing.

Dashboard level date filters
Our business needs to see data at various date ranges from yesterday/last week/all time. It would be great to have date pickers (with quick access to common "last week", "last month" etc) at the dashboard level.
Currently we have to duplicate our dashboards for each date range required by the business and this is very time consuming.

Axis data value to display even if I have no data for that point in time
I would like some charts to display an entire year on the x-axis, regardless of whether my data contains data for the entire year.
For example... my new users won't have activity for the past 12 months, so the heatmap I build shows only one column instead of 12... making the chart look ugly and confusing.
I hope that is clear, let me know if you's like to see an example
I think a turnaround might be a mongo view with a join between a static list of dates, and my actual collection.

How to use?
I don't understand how I can use.
I thought I can see video or Demo once I installed but nothing but just came the real one which I don't know where to start at all.1 voteNew Charts users now see an onboarding experience, including tours and a sample dashboard.

Conditional formatting
After you define a KPI, will be awesome if you can color them:
By expressions:
Red if number is less than 33.
Yellow if number is grater than 34 and less then 50.
Green if number is grater than 51.By scale:
A gradient from Red to Green (with yellow in the middle) and values from 0 to 100.Static:
Just color this KPI number purple.
NOTE: Colors and values must be configured by user.

Cumulative trends over time
By placing a time variable on the X axis, we can create a graph of records created for each day/week/month/etc. It would be very helpful to also have the ability to plot cumulative totals over time; in other words, have the point (X, Y) represent the fact that at time X, Y total records existed in the collection.

Improve management of labels in charts
You can see on this snapshot the issues :
- some labels overlap when they are to close.
- at the right-top of the chart, the labels' value are truncated
- last thing, the circle is cut at the bottom
Improving the graph could be very helpful to use MongoDB Charts a little more.

sort for data table via query
Hi,
Current default sort for text data table charts is a little un-intuitive (at least for me). All other charts appear to respect the sort stage in the aggregation pipeline. The data table chart has a different mechanism where the user has to explicitly click on the header to define the default sort. This is counter intuitive if there is already a sort stage in the aggregation pipeline that can be interpreted as the default sort.
I think it might make things more clear if either:
a) Default sort ALWAYS in the sort stage of the aggregation
b) Flag a…
1 voteWe’ve reworked how we do sorting, and the sort for all chart types (including tables) now happens within the aggregation pipeline.

Dragging groups in text chart has a bug with arrays
I am creating a chart and moving the order of data elements that are part of a group. When doing this, i am noticing that data elements with array parameters are not moving correctly. I took a screenshot see attached. The Naics code data element is not an array. Status is an array. Somehow the array parameters moved from status to NAICS while I am making changes.

Services: Tables
I'm using the Charts service to embed charts in my Web App. Loving it! Very easy to create and also embed.
Have you thought about adding a Tables service?
Basically, having it look and work exactly like the Charts service, except let us build Bootstrap Tables that we can embed the iframe. That would be HUGE!
Then as an Admin, I could customize my Clients tables to however they need it (i.e add a Search bar, Add Column filters, Styling, etc.) and have the embed serve it up.
Thanks!

Clickable values
One of the biggies missing for charts (from my perspective) is the ability to click and filter by values on the charts. Most BI tools do so and it's an easy and intuitive way to navigate up and down through the data. Similar to what "analyse schema" does in Compass, but much more flexible.
