Optimizing ERP Insights with MongoDB Charts
For integrating MongoDB with ERP software, consider leveraging MongoDB Charts to create customized visualizations of your ERP data. By connecting MongoDB as a data source, you can build dynamic dashboards that provide real-time insights into key ERP metrics such as inventory levels, financial performance, and sales trends. This integration will enhance your ability to analyze and present ERP data effectively, allowing for better decision-making and streamlined business operations. Additionally, you can embed these visualizations into your ERP system for a cohesive user experience, making it easier for your team to access and interpret critical information. Add support for logs on serverless instances
Right now, creating serverless instances on Atlas implies in not being able to download the logs as per https://www.mongodb.com/docs/atlas/reference/serverless-instance-limitations/#serverless-instance-limitations
I request that we either add that capability, or add a new feature that allows us for browsing the recent logs

Notify when report generation failed
We can schedule to generate reports of dashbaords but no report nor notify will be send when you failed to generate the image of the dashbaord. When we include too many charts or too heavy charts, dashboard will fail to generate some chart (timeout will happen) but we cannot notice it because you don't send notification or log about it.
Please let us know about report generation fail and make us to fix it.

Connection counter
I think that would be interesting to have a dashboard which show the connection number for each databases users/api currently connected or over a specific period.
Have a more information for each connection etablished on the cluster selected.
Currently to have a more information I must get the logs and I must search in the log the differents informations for each users/apis.

It is good idea to roll out auto indexing on tier above M30. Otherwise, it would be difficult for customer migrating from M30 and above
We are on a range of Mongodb clusters, starting from M20 up to M60. While the concept of auto-indexing is appealing, it is disappointing that this feature is not available on higher tier plans. When a customer upgrades from M30 to M40, they lose access to this feature and are forced to manually add it, which can be burdensome for them. Therefore, we kindly request that you investigate this issue and provide a prompt solution.

Geospatial Index - Elevation
GeoJSON specs allow storing elevation along with coordinates. It would be great if MongoDB could calculate distances between two coordinates considering the elevation too.

Export chart or dashboard image programmatically
Ideally, some API access to charts so a PNG or PDF could be rendered server-side.
Would be great if the @mongodb-js/charts-embed-dom npm package could be used to get the PNG of a chart or dashboard.
This must be possible somehow since the scheduled reports can send a PNG via email. For my use case, I would like to send these images to S3.

Report PDF to include generated date time in footer or in file name.
When scheduling email with PDF attachment, it would be great if PDF includes the date time it was generated in footer/header or attachment name should include date time.
This will help when it is being shared offline to other participants.

Email message body should support HTML or WYSIWYG editor to write details about the report
When scheduling to publish email, consider supporting HTML to be provided in message or convert it to WYSIWYG editor.
This will allow to provide details about the report to those who don't have access to the dashboard.

sync program between Atlas clusters (mongosync / mongomirror)
Here’s my question – about mongosync (mongomirror). It’s more likely feature request.
So the new sync program can utilize “filter” to select what document or collection to sync. It will be awesome if we can utilize mongo atlas change stream in source.
For example.
Source: SL1 Database: SDB1
Target: TL2 Database TDB1
SL1 SDB1, capture “remove document” event for collection A -> Send to target TS2, TDBA, Collection A as “insert” via sync program
By doing this, we can roll ower own “archive” cluster, TL2. Federate SL1 and TL2 collection A to query current and old document.

easy to find download button
I'm doing a tutorial and they have it so that it is very clear where you go to download mongodb. I think a clear download button could be helpful.

Add Usage Metrics capturing Dashboard Views
As a dashboard owner, I would like to know which dashboards are being used the most, by whom, and see count of views over time.
As we evaluate "usage" of these MDB Charts Dashboards, I want to know if people are even using them "enough" to justify investing in creating or enhancing dashboards.
I realize I could embed these charts into a separate website and slap Google Analytics onto the site to gain analytics / usage information. In lieu of this native feature, would you recommend that approach?

Data processing in the same cluster region
Currently any data visible through the Charts UI is routed through AWS US East.
For customers inside the European Union it could be problematic to transfer the data to the US due to GDPR and data protection laws. Especially when dealing with sensitive user data.
Data processing in the same cluster region would be a huge improvement to Charts.

Change Charts Query Order and Timeout
I use charts as an iFrame embedded to my website, and our clients ( another Team inside my company) should always analyse different user ID
s data. Having that in my mind, I created general purpose graph charts and when used, the query inside the iFrame would query the user ID
s wanted.
The problem is that, your mongoChart would first do all query inside the Charts ( Query and Filters) and then filter the document (on iframe code) that should have been filtered before. The result is that, even for a small collection ( 1 million documents 200mb size)…2 votes -
Chart exports should include missing data like the chart visualisation
Charts will fill in the gaps/missing data by design. This is great, but would be even better if the exports included the missing data, too.
In the example below, the chart correctly displays 0s for 20-Jul and 27-Jul but they are not being included in the export6 votes -
Make Charts Loading Screen Contextually Relevant
Add the Chart Title to its Loading dialog.
Would solve some UX problems for embedded charts - letting the user know what is coming to fill the space. There are workarounds for this currently (i.e. not using the charts title and having it on the render end instead... or having a conditional display that waits for the chart to load) but it would seem a more integrated experience all around to add context relevance to the Loading dialog, if possible.
Thanks!
