    Given that Open Tracing has been archived and future development focus in on Open Telemetry, we are closing this request. The effort for the Go Driver's implementation of Open Telemetry can be tracked here ( https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/GODRIVER-3468 ). otelmongo ( https://pkg.go.dev/go.opentelemetry.io/contrib/instrumentation/go.mongodb.org/mongo-driver/mongo/otelmongo ) is also an option for this implementation.
