We’ve upgraded our feedback system to better capture, track, and act on your feedback. Here’s what you need to know:
|
What problem are you trying to solve? Focus on the what and why of the need you have, not the how you'd like it solved. |
When working with multiple MongoDB connections in Compass, I often open several collections, queries, and other tabs within a connection. After disconnecting or restarting Compass, I have to manually reopen these tabs and recreate or locate my previous queries. This is especially inconvenient when working with secured connections, where reconnecting requires additional steps. |
|
What would you like to see happen? Describe the desired outcome or enhancement. |
Persist the workspace state separately for each saved connection, including:
Whenever I connect to a saved connection, Compass should automatically restore the tabs and queries that were last open for that specific connection. Each connection should maintain its own independent workspace, so switching between connections restores the appropriate tabs and queries for each one. |
|
Why is this important to you or your team? Explain how the request adds value or solves a business need. |
|
What steps, if any, are you taking today to manage this problem? |
Nothing, we have to automatically open the tabs every time |
Good idea,
It was actually my idea, but it's a good thing you brought it up.
