We’ve upgraded our feedback system to better capture, track, and act on your feedback. Here’s what you need to know:
|
What problem are you trying to solve? Focus on the what and why of the need you have, not the how you'd like it solved. |
cannot add ':' as a character in the tag's key and values. |
|
What would you like to see happen? Describe the desired outcome or enhancement. |
I would like to use tags and values with colon character. |
|
Why is this important to you or your team? Explain how the request adds value or solves a business need. |
Our team primarily uses AWS cloud to host our services. Our mongodb atlas clusters are also in AWS. The tags are used for segregation based on environment, client and also for costing. Since AWS tags support ':' character in the key and value, the same feature is expected in the AWS hosted mongodb cluster too. |
What steps, if any, are you taking today to manage this problem? |
We are manually replacing ':' with '-' charater and mapping tags with key/values |
Thank you for the feedback, Pratheesh. Just to clarify, MongoDB Atlas supports the ":" character in both tag keys and values. If you're experiencing a specific issue, please contact MongoDB Support so they can take a closer look.
