I want to provide assurance that you would not lose service immediately because of a failed payment. If your payment method has an issue, there would be no changes to your service for 30 days. More information about the process that occurs after a failed payment can be found in this FAQ.
But I understand that it would be a smoother process to have backup options available, so as to not require manual intervention.
