Say we are on Ops Manager 8.0.16 and 8.0.17 is released, we patch Ops Manager to 8.0.17 and it causes issues, we need the ability to go back to 8.0.16, backout the patch.

Why is this important to you or your team?

Explain how the request adds value or solves a business need.

We require the ability to have a backout plan for upgrades and patches, need the ability to revert to a previous patch level for Ops Manager.

What steps, if any, are you taking today to manage this problem?

Without the ability to revert an Ops Manager patch, we patch lower OM and wait 1-2 weeks to see if any issues come up in non-prod, before moving to prod. If there is an issue, we have been working with the Ops Manager product team on either a work around or one-off emergency patch to new level.
