We’ve upgraded our feedback system to better capture, track, and act on your feedback. Here’s what you need to know:
|
What problem are you trying to solve? Focus on the what and why of the need you have, not the how you'd like it solved. |
When working with multiple open tabs in MongoDB Compass (such as collections, queries, or aggregation pipelines), closing tabs one by one using the small “x” button is slow and inconvenient. This becomes especially cumbersome when managing many tabs during data exploration or debugging. |
|
What would you like to see happen? Describe the desired outcome or enhancement. |
I’d like to be able to close open tabs by middle-clicking on them, similar to how most modern browsers and tabbed applications work. This would provide a quicker and more intuitive way to manage open tabs. |
|
Why is this important to you or your team? Explain how the request adds value or solves a business need. |
This enhancement would significantly improve workflow efficiency and user experience by reducing the number of clicks required to manage tabs. It aligns MongoDB Compass with common UI patterns users are already familiar with, making the tool feel more modern and responsive. |
What steps, if any, are you taking today to manage this problem? |
Currently, I manually close each tab using the “x” button or rely on restarting Compass to clear all open tabs. Both approaches are time-consuming and interrupt the flow of work. |
Thank you for submitting this feedback! We are considering adding this feature in the future.
