To modify transactionLifetimeLimitSeconds parameter
As this is one of the most common request from Atlas customers to modify
transactionLifetimeLimitSeconds
it would be beneficial to grant the privilege so the Atlas customers are able change this parameter within a certain limit. Please add this functionality.2 votes -
Show BI Connector resource use Metrics
It would be helpful to be able to view the resources used by the BI connector in Metrics, similar to how you can view resources used by Atlas Search (Search Disk Space Used, Search Normalized Process CPU, etc). This could help with identifying issues due to resource intensive queries submitted through the BI connector.
Currently it is only possible to guess that an issue could be related to the BI Connector by viewing system resource use.

Bytes available for reuse metric
This metric will show the available bytes for reuse. If it's too much and its graph is changed a little bit, we can decide to compact it for saving cost (from disk usage).
Currently, we have to run dbstat command to see the available bytes for reuse and can't know its trend.2 votes -

Ability to block sending of Alert Close Notification
We have set up alerts and have noticed that when a condition is back to normal, there is another alert generated acknowledging its closed. Is there a way we can manage this (like disable or block it for some alerts)?

High resolution monitoring and alerting for WT dirty cache ratio, eviction workloads and checkpoints.
Implement better monitoring and alerting for WT dirty cache ratio. This should include sub-minute resolution and support an understanding of eviction workload as well as performance impact of checkpoints under heavy write workloads.

Atlas collection explorer UI: The list of collections should not scroll with the rest of the page
I work with hundreds of collections, and I have two issues with the UI that make a not optimal UX:
- my collection names are large, and the collection list is not resizable.
Alternatively to resizing, a popping up tooltip could show the full name of the collection being hovered with the pointer- the list of collection scrolls with the rest of the page. when I want to search a collection at the bottom of the page I have to scroll down to select it, and then scroll up again to see the results.

Performance Advisor Case Insensitive Queries and $lookup Recommendations - Include Relevant Queries
Currently the Performance Advisor features suggestions for two distinct situations:
* Queries Using regex With Case Insensitivity.
* Queries Using $lookup.Currently the query or queries that triggered the suggestions are not shared within the Performance Advisor message which requires an extra effort in finding them either in the MongoDB Logs or using the Performance Advisor. As such, it would be useful to attach the relevant query or queries that triggered the suggestions to the Performance Advisor details.

Add UI to describe collections/fields in Atlas and simple validations
Most old SQL databases allow table and column-level descriptions as a core feature. For distributed teams, or agile teams prototyping an app, it would be useful to be able to document/describe fields, expected/allowed values etc straight in the UI.
I'd like a Definitions tab after Find/Indexes in the Collections view where I can indicate BSON type and add a title/description for each field in my schema.
The JSON Schema Validation mechanism could be used as a basis for storing this information, since it already has a properties definition with a description for each field name in a document.

API access over VPC
We have a scheduled process which starts up a GCE instance with both an internal and external IP address. This runs a script which:
- uses the Mongo API to get the id of the latest snapshot
- uses the Mongo API to create a restore job with HTTP delivery
- downloads the backup and perform some verification processes on the backup.
Currently Mongo Cloud only allows access to the Mongo API and the HTTPS download over the public Internet. This requires adding Google Cloud IP addresses to both the API key IP Access List and the Network Access IP Access List. It…

Stop dismissing dialogs by losing focus
When filling in the password field in Atlas user, sometimes I click show then start typing a new password, or Home/end to highlight it. Somehow half the time it dismisses the dialog and I have to start over.
I suspect it is the dialog losing focus. Stop dismissing the dialog when I click off of the box. Other dialogs do the same thing. A lot of web apps do that now and it seems really dumb -- save one specific Cancel click to aggravate me many more times when the dialog I have worked on for 5 minutes disappears.

The IPs of the newly created cluster should be in the terraform state directly
We are trying to deploy a cluster in Azure using Terraform and then inspect the newly created cluster to get the hostnames and IP addresses. We need these IP Addresses so we update the Azure Firewall to allow the Azure Key Vault to communicate with the Atlas cluster. We are doing this test to enable encryption at rest with our own keys.
We believe the IPs should be in the terraform state directly.

Add support for replication lag and replication headroom metrics in Datadog
The metrics replset.replicationheadroom and replset.replicationlag would be useful to have exposed to identify network limtiations and/or too small oplogs

Ability to apply the same settings to multiple projects
As described in support case #00739901, we have exceeded the 50 limit of clusters in our production project.
We are going to have a lot of new clusters in the coming year, and they all need to be in the production environment.
There should be a way either to add more clusters to one project or to share the same settings between multiple production projects for growing customers of MongoDB like us.
